A small Siberian town is comfortably located on the banks of a small river by Russian standards with a funny name Uk. There are two stable versions of the origin of the village name. According to one of them, the word "Zavodoukovsk" can be understood as "factory on the Uka", it is associated with the river and the distillery located on it. Uk - translated from ancient Turkic as an arrow. Other researchers believe that here inIn the 18-19 centuries, a special settlement, traditional for those years, could be organized - a factory intended for the rest of convicts sent to Siberia.
