The name of such a person as Sergei Ryzhikov is well known to every fan of Soviet football. After all, it was he who for a certain time played for the Belgorod "Salute", the Ramenskoy "Saturn", the Makhachkala "Anji" and other notorious teams. And since 2008, the footballer has defended the honor of Rubin Kazan. However, first things first.
Early years
Sergey Ryzhikov was born in 1980, September 19, in Shebekino. He began his path to big sport with admission to the Youth Sports School. Interestingly, he initially occupied the position of a right midfielder. But then he decided to retrain as a goalkeeper. As Sergei said, the influence of Alexei Polyakov, a goalkeeper from Shebekino, played an important role in this.
Ryzhikov's professional career began in 1999. Then he became part of the Belgorod "Salute", which played in those days in the second league. In this case, the phrase "there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped" would be appropriate. Salut experienced serious financial problems. Naturally, the club could not afford eminent players, so its honor was defended by local pupils. So at the age of 18 Sergey Ryzhikovturned out to be the goalkeeper of the starting lineup, in whose role he stayed for two years.
Further career
In 2002, the goalkeeper was hired by Saturn. True, for three years he was the goalkeeper of the backup team. And even wore a captain's armband.
He got into the Premier Division only in 2004. And then played a few games there. At the end of the season, he received an invitation from Lokomotiv Moscow, to which Ryzhikov agreed. True, he was immediately loaned to Anji - to get match practice. However, the decision was successful, as at the end of the year Sergey was recognized by the fans as the best player on the team.
Returning to Lokomotiv, he entered the field only twice. After that, it turned out to be rented again, only this time by Tomyu.
Moving to Kazan
Sergei Ryzhikov is a good goalkeeper, so it is not surprising that he was noticed by representatives of the Tatarstan Rubin. In 2008, he was invited to the Kazan club, and the goalkeeper did not hesitate for long. He almost immediately became the main goalkeeper of the team. In the first seven games, he only conceded two goals (and then one came from a pen alty kick).
Sergey Ryzhikov is a very good footballer - many thought so. And in 2010 he received an offer from Spartak Moscow. He was offered $10,000,000. However, the goalkeeper refused, and instead extended the contract with Rubin. In the summer of the current 2016, there were rumors that he would leave the ranks of the Kazan club. However, in one of his interviews, Ryzhikov assured that he was not going to go anywhere. The goalkeeper, by the way, was surprisedsince it turned out to be the first rumor in all 9 years that he played in Rubin.

Sergey Ryzhikov is a football player who was also called up to the Russian national team. True, he played only one match. It was a friendly game against Armenia and he conceded one goal. They called Sergei several times, but all the time he sat on the bench.
Sergey has a family - a wife, a son and two twin daughters. Interestingly, Ryzhikov's brother, whose name is Andrei, is also a goalkeeper. He defends the colors of Energomash Belgorod.
A few words should be said about the achievements. With Rubin, Sergey twice became the champion of Russia, and also won the Cup and the Super Cup of the country. By the way, he has two of these awards. True, he won all the Super Cups while playing for Rubin, but he received the second Cup while being part of Lokomotiv.
Ryzhikov was also included in the list of 33 best RFPL players four times. And in 2013, he became part of the Lev Yashin Club, because he managed to keep the gates “dry” for 100 matches.
