In the ranks of the Armed Forces, there are several types of military ranks - military and naval. The former can be assigned to employees of various units, such as the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Internal Troops, the Intelligence Service and other formations and bodies.
All ranks can be divided into non-officer, officer and higher. For example, foreman is a military non-officer rank.
Duties of the Commander
This title appeared on the territory of the USSR in 1935 and is awarded only to the best sergeants, whose service life is at least 6 months. The title must necessarily correspond to the position.
Directly in the company, the first chief of personnel is the foreman. A sergeant can also command soldiers. Both ranks come with certain responsibilities, namely:
- both links are responsible for the correct performance of the service;
- following orders and military discipline;
- preservation of internal order;
- safety of property and weapons.
The senior company (battery) reports directlycompany commander (officer), and in his absence performs all necessary duties.
Procedure for assigning and changing military rank
The title can be first or next and is assigned to each individually. The first ranks for sergeants and foremen are: private, sailor, sergeant, foreman. This is the beginning of the service of a citizen. In the future, having received the necessary education, you can earn the rank of an officer already.
The rank of foreman or sergeant is awarded after the successful completion of the training program for the training of these specialists (for example, at a military department or other educational organization).
The rank of junior officers is assigned to non-officers in cases where:
- employee trained under the reserve officer program and was accepted into the reserve;
- if an employee is in the reserve, then after successfully passing the relevant tests and military training, he is also awarded the title;
- the foreman has a complete higher education, which corresponds to his military position (with a length of service of 6 or more months);
- he is doing contract service in any of the formations or units, after passing special courses or training.
If the service is conducted in specific units, a prefix is made to the rank, for example, “foreman of the guard”, “foreman of the medical service”, etc. For those who are in the reserve or retired, respectively - “foreman of the reserve”, “retired foreman.”
Because of what they can lose the title?
For the commission of any grave or especially grave crime, you can lose the rank of foreman. This is regulated by the Law on Military Service.
Decrease in rank occurs when:
- a citizen who is called up for military training has violated the Disciplinary Charter;
- employee found guilty of administrative, criminal and other offenses.
Restoration in rank and position occurs only after the complete removal of a criminal record.
There are exceptions in which a citizen cannot be returned the rank of foreman - this is the commission of crimes equivalent to treason.
