In 2017, the governor of the Oryol region Vadim Potomsky, along with many other heads of regions, was dismissed. In his place, a young politician was discharged from Moscow, who had worked for a long time in the city duma of the capital. Andrey Evgenievich Klychkov is currently acting governor, but he aims to participate in the elections of the head of the region in 2018 and further victory in them. His path in politics is rather tortuous and unpredictable, he has already managed to try on the clothes of an oppositionist and after that establish a common language with the authorities.

Native of Kaliningrad

The current Acting Governor of the Orel Region was born in Kaliningrad in 1979. In his youth, he was engaged in pentathlon, but he did not become a professional athlete and chose the Kaliningrad Law Institute to continue his studies. After graduating from the university, Andrey Klychkov worked for several years in the criminal investigation department of his native city, but the young, ambitious lawyer aimed much furtherprovincial investigator positions.

In 2001, he joined the Communist Party, which launched his political career. First, a young graduate of the law faculty was thrown into the rough work of processing citizens' applications in the public reception of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, where he earned a reputation as a hardworking, responsible worker.

Klychkov gained authority and gradually moved up the party ladder. From the position of a simple assistant legal adviser, he has grown to the deputy of the entire legal service of the Central Committee of the party. Having earned the trust of his superior comrades, Andrei Evgenievich even represented the interests of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the Supreme Court. For some time, a native of Kaliningrad worked as an assistant to State Duma deputy Anatoly Lokot.

To Moscow

In 2006, the future governor of the Oryol region gradually begins to emerge from the shadows and make his debut in the election race. As part of the regional group of the Communist Party, he participated in the elections of deputies to the Kaliningrad Regional Duma, but did not achieve success. Defeated, Andrei Klychkov went to Moscow, where he began to act as a senior referent of the party apparatus.

Proximity to the central leadership has borne fruit, an ambitious young politician receives more and more appointments and posts.

In 2007 he was delegated to represent the interests of the Communist Party in the CEC, and a year later he became the youngest member of the Central Committee of the party. Subsequently, he will be constantly re-elected as a member of the Central Committee.

Parallel to the dizzyingAndrey Yevgenyevich Klychkov is improving his educational level through his career in the apparatus - in 2008 he graduated from the Academy under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a degree in international relations.

MP

In 2009, Klychkov was successfully elected to the Moscow City Duma, later he headed the Communist Party faction in the capital's parliament.

Two years later, he became a member of the State Duma of Russia, but gave up his mandate in favor of another communist. This may seem counterintuitive, but it can be seen that the young politician acted quite reasonably.

After all, in the federal parliament he would have been destined for the role of an extra, obediently fulfilling the role assigned to him as a member of the systemic opposition to the authorities. In the Moscow City Duma, Andrey Evgenievich was the leader of an influential faction, was a member of all significant committees, directly influencing the life of a powerful city.

As a deputy, Klychkov took an active part in the speeches of the opposition on Bolotnaya Square, protesting against the election results. Interestingly, the chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Zyuganov, was very disapproving of such manifestations of civic activity, calling them “orange contagion.”

Head of the Region

In 2017, the subjects of the Russian Federation were covered by a wave of gubernatorial resignations. The governor of the Oryol region, Vadim Potomsky, did not escape this fate either. This was expected for a long time, because under him the region "successfully" secured the reputation of a depressed region, scandals about abuses of power were constantly blazing.

TemporaryAndrey Klychkov, an employee from Moscow, was appointed governor of the Oryol region. The opinions of experts were divided about the prospects of the politician in this post. Many believed that Andrei Evgenievich traded the opportunity to become a federal-level politician for the position of head of a sleepy province, where he would bury his future.

However, Klychkov himself accepted the new challenge with enthusiasm and moved to Orel. While his actions in the new position are rather cautious, he himself emphasizes that he is only the acting governor and is not authorized to large-scale reshuffles.

The election of a new governor of the Orel region will be held only in the fall of 2018, until that time Andrei Evgenievich will have to earn his authority among the voters.
