For a year (since 1998) Lebedev worked as an adviser to Sergei Kalashnikov, who headed the Ministry of Labor, and in 1999 Vladimir Volfovich's son entered the State Duma, becoming the head of the faction and replacing his father for a while. His career developed inexorably, in 2003 Lebedev entered the top three on the electoral list. The media wrote that the entire party fund was concentrated in his hands.

Lebedev, together with his fellow party members, proposed an amendment to the law, according to which the illegal evacuation of a car would be tantamount to theft - Igor Vladimirovich decided that these villains should be reined in, limiting thempermissiveness. This was in the fall of 2015.

Today Igor Lebedev continues to work in the State Duma from the LDPR party. His ultimate goal has not changed - the desire to become president does not leave him to this day.
