If someone undertook to rank Russian politicians on their participation in scandalous projects, then State Duma deputy of the 6th convocation Alexander Sidyakin would certainly take one of the leading places in it. Let not the first, but most likely, he would have got into the top ten … What is worth the mere fact that at the age of 29 this politician became a member of … the pensioners' party. But first things first.
Childhood and youth of Sidyakin
Sidyakin Alexander Gennadievich was born on November 17, 1977 in the small town of Segezha, in the Karelian Republic. His parents are ordinary people. Mom is a nurse, dad is a factory worker.
The teenage years of the future deputy fell on the difficult nineties. His family, like millions of others, was very difficult to survive in those days. Perhaps it was this moment that provoked young Alexander's first thoughts about politics and the desire to change something in his country.
In general, as a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut… But, after graduating from school with a silver medal, he entered Tver State University as a lawyer.
The difficult financial situation forced the guy to earn extra money. In the evenings, after school, he unloaded wagons with grain. But at the same time, he managed not only to study well, but also to actively participate in public and even political life. So, for example, from 1996 to 1999, Alexander Sidyakin was the head of the Tver branch of the National Bolshevik Party. The end of this leadership coincided with the receipt of a diploma. And then completely different horizons opened before the young and ambitious man.
Legal Activities
After graduating from university, Sidyakin immediately gets a job in his speci alty. His first position was the position of a legal adviser in LLC "Legal Service" Consultant ". For two years of work in this office, he managed to rise to the chair of a senior legal adviser. Electoral processes were the main activity of Alexander Gennadievich.
For example, in 2000 he participated in the preparation of the All-Russian environmental referendum, which, however, never took place. In 2001, he “knocked out of the saddle” the most promising “horse” of the electoral race. Her name was Rita Chistokhodova, and she claimed the post of head of the Komi Republic. But “thanks” to the efforts of a young lawyer, it never worked out.
In 2001, Alexander Sidyakin said goodbye to the "Consultant" and jumped several steps of the career ladder at once, getting a job not just anywhere, but in the very State Duma of the Russian Federation! There he served as an expert on electoral legislation.
Further, he more than once had to indirectly participate in the elections that took place in various regions of Russia. He supported some candidates, he tried to prevent others … The geography of this activity of Sidyakin covers the Krasnodar Territory, the Bryansk Region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Komi Republic and, of course, Moscow.
The experience gained while participating in numerous election campaigns was very useful later to Alexander Sidyakin, a politician.
Political activities
The Russian Party of Pensioners, whose Bashkortostan regional branch he headed in 2006, was chosen as a springboard for jumping into big politics as a future deputy. When a young man was asked with surprise why this particular political force, he answered that we are all pensioners; just someone already, and someone - sooner or later will. And you need to prepare the sleigh in the summer, that is, now take care of your worthy old age.
But soon Sidyakin Alexander Gennadievich already chaired the regional branch of the Just Russia party, from which he ran for the State Duma in 2007. And although he was the first number on the list, he did not get into the main legislative body of the Russian Federation at that time. And he did not get into the kurultai of Bashkortostan either.
In 2009, Sidyakin “tied up” both with Bashkiria, leaving it, and with A Just Russia. Later, he explained his exit from the party by its transition to the opposition to Vladimir Putin.
Alexander Sidyakin - Deputy of the State Duma of Russia
In the same 2009, Alexander Gennadievich took the post of Secretary of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, which later became part of the All-Russian Popular Front. And he, in turn, was organized in support of the then Prime Minister Putin and the United Russia party in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Sidyakin's candidacy is put forward to parliament on the lists of United Russia, and this time he passes! In 2011, Alexander Gennadievich became a State Duma deputy. He remained and remains non-partisan, but is a member of the United Russia faction.
Resonant projects and initiatives
Alexander Sidyakin has developed a vigorous activity as a deputy. The young politician now and then came up with various initiatives and prepared all sorts of projects. Many of them resonated in society, but remained unrealized.
Among the most high-profile "cases" of Sidyakin, one can note the bills on NPO-foreign agents, on the introduction of liability for insulting the feelings of believers, on tougher punishment for participating in unauthorized rallies, etc. As for the latter, the deputy proposed to appoint violators with a maximum fine of one and a half million rubles.
Scandal attacks
Alexander Sidyakin, whose biography began in such mediocre conditions, quickly managed to become a very famous person in the country. Andall thanks to participation in numerous scandalous stories.
So, for example, once he trampled on a blue and white ribbon right on the parliamentary platform, accusing its "carriers" of betraying their country. Another deputy demanded the exclusion of the United States from FIFA, attacked the Russian representative office of Google for the fact that the search engine designates Crimea as Ukrainian, and publicly scolded Wikipedia for its definition of the peninsula as a disputed territory…
Many probably expect from the people's choice, who started in the Pensioners' Party, high-profile statements even today - in the context of the government's plans to extend the "work age" for the Russians. But so far, Alexander Sidyakin has not spoken much about the retirement age.
Private life
The personal life of the deputy, unlike the public one, does not shine with variety. He has been married for a long time and "deeply" and has a son and a daughter.
In his free time, he likes to have extreme fun. He is fond of skiing (mountain and cross-country skiing), swims well, loves hiking and mountains. Among his achievements is climbing Elbrus.
And in January 2015, the name of Alexander Sidyakin thundered throughout Russia, when he and his colleague Oleg Savchenko went to conquer Antarctica and … disappeared. True, they were found very soon, but they made a lot of noise. However, the son of a nurse and a worker should not occupy this skill!
