Early years
Valery Mikhailovich Zubov was born in 1953 on May 9 in the village of Novospasskoye, Pervomaisky district, Tambov region. Parents were geologists. It was this fact that influenced the frequent relocations of the family and, as a result, the frequent change of schools. Valery changed educational institutions 14 times. In 1971, on the advice of his parents, he went to Moscow and entered the Geological Institute named after S. Ordzhonikidze. But after he realized that geology did not attract him, in 1973 he transferred to the Plekhanov Institute in Moscow to specialize in Planning in the National Economy. He graduated from the institute in 1977, and in 1978 he left to serve in the army.
So, after serving in the army, he returned to the Plekhanov Institute for postgraduate studies and in 1982 defended his dissertation for further development in the research field. Then he went to his small homeland in Krasnoyarsk.
Family
Valery Yuryevich does not spread much about his personal life, therefore, all that is known about his family is that he is married and has children. Zubov Valery was married to Zubova Evgenia Borisovna. They had two children: daughter Ekaterina and son Ivan.
Teaching and community activities
Moving to Krasnoyarsk, he went to work at Krasnoyarsk University. At the very beginning, he worked as a senior lecturer, and after a while he became the dean of the Faculty of Economics.
In 1986 he was sent for an internship to the United States of America, in the city of Norman, where he studied the development of the country and the organization of labor at the University of Oklahoma. In 1987 he returned back to his institute.
In 1988, Zubov moved to Moscow and entered the doctoral program at the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics. So, in 1991, Valery Mikhailovich Zubov defended his dissertation and received a doctoral degree.
Despite the politicalorientation of life, Valery Mikhailovich in the late 90s became deputy director of the stock exchange in Krasnoyarsk, associated with operations with securities. He also created his own exchange called Troika.
At the same time, he was a professor at the Krasnoyarsk State University, where he taught at the Department of Social and Economic Planning. For his teaching activity he became the author of 27 scientific articles.
Governor
Having earned authority in the political sphere, in 1992 Valery Mikhailovich was offered to become the deputy head of the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where he was responsible for the administration of the region. Having succeeded in his work, he is promoted and given a new opportunity for development in the political sphere. He is appointed acting head of administration. After a while, in 1993, Valery Mikhailovich became the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Since 1996, the post of head of administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has been renamed the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. So he became the second governor of the Territory. Valery Mikhailovich worked as the second governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory until 1998.
Also in 1993, he became a nominee to the Federation Council from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This is not the end of his political activities. In 1994, he became a member of the First Convocation of the Federation Council, where he became a member of the Committee responsible for financing, budget and tax policy.

Political career in the State Duma
Zubov Valery Mikhailovich was given the opportunity to fully reveal himself in the political field. So, in 1999, he submitted his candidacy for elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is worth saying that he was an elected MP.
In 2000, Valery Mikhailovich was elected to the State Duma, where he was responsible for the budget. In 2001, he was elected a member of the three political sections responsible for relations with Japan, Canada and Kazakhstan.
In 2002, Valery Mikhailovich was elected head of the Financial Markets Committee. He also became a member of the editorial commission dealing with legislation in the field of the law "On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation".
After resigning his powers as a deputy from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, he submits his candidacy again and passes to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, where he becomes the head of the Committee of the Security Council of the Russian Federation in the economic sphere. It is in this position that Valery Mikhailovich Zubov joins the United Russia party. In 2005, he left it and supported the Republican Party, becoming a member of the political council.
In 2007, he joined the Just Russia party, from where he later ran for the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He also submitted hiscandidacy for the State Duma from the Just Russia party, where he was responsible for economic policy and entrepreneurship. When the term of deputy powers ended, he again submitted his candidacy for elections to the Legislative Assembly. Valery Mikhailovich stood out for his deputy activity by being against the law banning the adoption of orphans by citizens of other countries. And also did not take part in the voting on consideration of the issue of the unification of Crimea and the Russian Federation.
