Biography of the actress
Kiernan Shipka was born in 1999 in Chicago. At the age of 6, together with her parents, she moved to Los Angeles, where she took her first steps towards acting Olympus, regularly participating in auditions.
Her mother was the president of a fairly large company, and her father, who received a master's degree from Brown University, is the CEO of a real estate company.
Acting career
Kiernan Shipka made her debut as an actress in 2006. She appeared as Lola in the TV series Suburban Man. In the same year, in one of the episodes of the popular detective series Detective Monk, she played a little girl shopping.
Popularity to Kiernan Shipka came already in 2007. In the serial drama by Matthew Weiner"Mad Men" she gets the character Sally Beth Draper, who appears constantly from the fourth to the seventh seasons. Sally is the daughter of the creative director's protagonist, whose name is Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm). He works in a prestigious office whose employees are languishing from the inner emptiness, trying to keep up with the external signs of well-being. The series raises many social topics (alcoholism, adultery, racism) and real historical events (the Cold War, the assassination of President Kennedy). Shipka plays in the series until its closure in 2015.
