In 1999, the famous musician Anastas Mikoyan founded the first theater of its kind - the theater of music and drama. The uniqueness of the format was in the concept - to combine the dramatic direction and the musical into a single whole. The creator of the theater saw the key to success in creating a troupe, where each actor would equally well cope with vocal parts and choreographic numbers, dramatic plasticity and stage speech.
Actress Vera Zudina has been working in this theater for more than ten years. Her name is well known to theatergoers in Moscow.
"I devote myself completely to the theater, there is no strength left for cinema" - this is how the actress explains the lack of film work in her career.
Short biography
Vera Zudina was born on January 16, 1985 in the city of Kaliningrad, Moscow Region, which was the name of the city of Korolev until 1996.
From an early age, Vera decided to devote herself to serving Melpomene. While still a schoolgirl, she began to study at the theater studio at the Theater of the Young Spectator in the city of Korolev. It also took place thereacting debut: the role of Little Red Riding Hood in the play of the same name. This was followed by the roles of Cinderella, Princess (in the play based on the fairy tale "The Tinderbox").
While studying at the Institute for Humanitarian Education, she participated in student theater productions. Her roles at this time: Nedopesok, Catherine II (in the play “Love is a golden book”).
As an additional education to the Faculty of Theater Arts, Vera Sergeevna added classes at the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio.

Work and creativity
Today, Vera Zudina plays at the Stas Namin Theater of Music and Drama, and also collaborates with Polina Menshikh's theater-studio - Lege Artis. In addition, since 2017, Vera Sergeevna has been the deputy artistic director of the Stas Namin Theater for creative issues, and also teaches acting and stage speech at the children's theater studio at the theater.
In an interview, Vera Zudina said that a large amount of work, on the one hand, is a heavy burden, but on the other hand, worries, projects - everything is connected with the theater, with something that is very dear to the heart, and therefore is carried out with pleasure. Rather, on the contrary, the weekend does not bring joy. I would like to continue the process as soon as possible, create something, do something, rehearse, work with the guys from the children's studio … Only in this case does the feeling of a full life come. However, the tension takes its toll, and from time to time you still want to exhale.
One of the outstanding works of the actress together with the Lege Artis studio is the role of the Dark Goddess Takhisis in the musical"Last Trial".
The play was written by composer Anton Kruglov and singer Elena Khanpira based on the fantasy "Twins Trilogy" from the book series "The Saga of the Spear". Since 1998, the musical existed in audio version, until the premiere on stage took place in 2014.
The Saga fans loved the modern production so much that an initiative group was created from among them. Fans have approached the actors with a request to re-record the audio version. It was planned to raise the necessary funds for this through crowdfunding. And they collected - as much as 160% of the required amount.
One theatrical reviewer, having visited the play "The Last Test", spoke of the performer of the role of Takhisis as follows:
I was struck by the game of Vera Zudina. You know, she was so convincing and powerful that at some point I caught myself thinking that she was completely outplaying her stage partners. It was just magical.
By the way, in honor of the twentieth anniversary of this musical, the line-up that performed in 2016 gathered again. In mid-January 2019, an updated version of The Last Test will be screened at Adrenaline Stadium in Moscow.
Poster
In the near future, Vera Zudina can be seen on stage in performances:
- "Beatlemania" (the role of an excellent student) - a performance, by definition of the creators, - musical graffiti. 25 songs of the immortal Liverpool band performed by theater actors. Despite the fact that both text andand the plot of the story, the performance received a very high rating from the audience.
- "Cosmos" (the role of Nyusia) - a performance based on the stories of V. Shukshin ("Stalled", "Light Souls", "Space, the nervous system and shmat fat", "Suraz", "I believe!" and "Gena Pass the light"). Six mini-novellas, many songs, as it should be in the theater of music. Wonderful acting, rave reviews from the audience.
It's interesting that the actors eat real food on stage. And during the intermission, the audience is invited to taste boiled potatoes and s alted lard. Probably for a more complete immersion in the world of Shukshin's heroes.
