The older sister adored literature and wanted to become an actress, while the younger one studied French with rapture and was going to enter the Moscow State University for the philological faculty. However, fate decreed differently: Vera did not manage to become a linguist, but she fulfilled her sister's dream -entered the theater.

Somehow, in the eighth grade, the girl became very ill. Sister Galya, in order to somehow distract her, began to read Kuprin's stories aloud, which became the moment of truth. Having recovered, Vera decided to engage in theatrical art and enrolled in a circle at the House of Culture.

Childhood

Vera Sotnikova had a very happy childhood. Parents spent all their holidays just taking girls to the best museums. Vera loved fairy tales and was a creative child. Going to bed, without much persuasion, she closed her eyes with pleasure and went to the land of dreams and fantasies, where she was, of course, the queen. Every evening Vera made up stories before going to bed, and then played them during the day with a school friend.

It was necessary to wait about eight hours, and in order to pass the time, the girl decided to go to the "Pike" for an audition, just at random. The young mother, in order to somehow improve her financial situation, had to agree to any roles that were only offered. Vera and her little son huddled behind a closet blocking a room in a communal apartment. And in the second half, Yuri lived.

Sometimes a woman even thought it was good to end everything in one fell swoop. But from childhood she learned the motto: “Stalingrad does not give up so easily!”. Vera tried to calm herself, saying that the difficulties would end sooner or later, she would become a famous actress and get a job in the best theater. And so it happened.
