Deja vu is one of the most mysterious and little-studied phenomena of the human psyche. Most people, at least once in their lives, have experienced the fact that, getting into a completely new place, they begin to experience a strange feeling of certainty that they have been here before. Or, for example, met people whose faces seemed very familiar. All this has already happened, the only question is when?
The meaning of the word "déjà vu" is translated from French as "already seen". This is a certain mental state associated with the feeling that you have once been in a similar situation. At the same time, the deja vu effect is not associated with a specific moment from the past, with a situation already experienced, it rather refers to the past tense in general. And this phenomenon, according to numerous studies, is quite common. Modern psychologists believe that about 95-97% of people have experienced the feeling of “already seen” at least once.
The reasons for this phenomenon are not exactly established. Some believe that deja vu is a phenomenon caused by processes in those areas of the brain that are responsible for primary perception and memory. According to this theory, the information received by a personin some cases, it is first remembered and only after that it begins to be analyzed. Thanks to such a “reverse chain”, the brain, comparing the current situation with its copy in memory, comes to the fair conclusion that it has already happened.
Physicists say that déjà vu is a phenomenon associated with yet little-studied characteristics of time. According to their theory, the present, past and future exist simultaneously. However, the consciousness of a modern person is able to fully perceive only what is called “here and now”. Thus, the brain "loses" some of the perceived information. Official science is not yet able to give a clear idea of how exactly this mechanism works, and for a person this question contains a lot of secrets.
Psychologists associate the occurrence of the déjà vu effect with subtle energy that permeates the entire Cosmos. The conducted studies have proved that the process of thinking is, first of all, the process of generating electricity, which has certain informational characteristics. Psychologists call this spiritual, psychic energy. It is thanks to her, in their opinion, that some people with supersensitive perception see thought forms in the form of fields of different colors. Depending on the energy pumping, they can be weak, medium or strong. The latter are able to leave the so-called information traces, forming a fairly powerful focus of excitation inbrain. They can layer on top of each other, spontaneously travel through time and space, and return back to their source. Thus, the deja vu effect is simply the result of the impact of the information that returned to the person from another time.
It is obvious that there is still no single explanation of what happens in the mind at the moment of deja vu, how the latter is born and what are its causes. However, it is clear that this phenomenon is not a mental anomaly and does not belong to the category of diseases or abnormalities, and therefore you should not worry when faced with it. This is just one of the possibilities of the human brain, not yet fully understood by scientists.
