He even held some small posts in the youth wing of the organization. Since the 2000s, there has been a sharp bias towards nationalism and extreme radicalism in his political views. He had a special hatred for the peoples who professed Islam. He was deeply convinced that their presence in his country was destructive to Norway.

And then he publishes a manifesto in which he declares that he is disappointed in the peaceful democratic methods of fighting the Islamists and therefore considers it necessary to have armed intervention in this process. He also joins the Norwegian Masonic lodge "Saint Olaf". However, he does not become a convinced Freemason and even criticizes the order, for which the brotherhood decides to expel him (2000).
