Description of the Historical Museum
The foundation of this institution dates back to 1854. Initially, the museum was adjacent to the Vladimir gymnasium for boys. Further, as soon as 1906 came, he changed his location, moving to a building built on donations from local residents. The two-story museum complex is occupied by the most interesting historical artifacts accumulated over a huge period, from the Stone Age to 1917.
Huge interest among touristsThe Historical Museum (Vladimir) evokes because of the unusual design of the halls themselves and the shape of the building, reminiscent of an ellipse. The last renovation was carried out here in 2003. The territory of each department is completely finished with mirrored canvases. It is in this most interesting room that you can begin to get acquainted with the history experienced by the region.
Amazing dramatization of the events of bygone times simply cannot leave any person indifferent. Further, the attention of the visitors who came to the museum switches to the period in which such events as the baptism of Russia and the reign of Prince Vladimir took place, as well as the emergence of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality.
Crowning all this magnificent spectacle is the most important historical passage, called the invasion of the Mongol-Tatars. Exhibits
The second floor of the museum is designed and decorated already quite traditionally, there is a great variety of exhibits, including weapons, household items, clothes and military uniforms of people living at that time. The collected relics can tell a lot about the life history and battles of warriors from the beginning of the 17th to the end of the 20th century.
Lovers of the history of ancient Russia can trace almost all time periods of the formation of the state, starting from the Time of Troubles. This is helped by ancient manuscripts, documents and otherexhibits. The rarest examples are the icon depicting the scene of the murder of the infant Tsarevich Dmitry, as well as a copied sample of the Letter of Complaint, which was presented to the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery. On top of that, here you can even find a church chasuble made from the fur coat of one of the liberators of Moscow, Dmitry Pozharsky.
Within the walls of this museum, in addition to the stages of the birth of Russia, the period of industrialization and the flourishing of industrial production is described in as much detail as possible. This period lasted from the second half of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century. Samples of textile, porcelain and other crafts have survived to this day. Ancient coins that were used in everyday life during the revolution are collected in the famous metal chest found during the study of the estate of the merchant Zhulin.
Reviews
Many guests of the museum are very pleased with the tour and the variety of exhibits presented. The only thing that upsets me is the slightly strangely designed annotations, but this is not so significant when compared with the general impression.
I am also very pleased that the management allows photographing the entire exposition. By the way, when viewing photos, there is a feeling that all images have volume, which makes it even more interesting to watch.
