Today, Russian television is literally replete with numerous popular shows dedicated to political debates. Among this diversity, a program that regularly airs on Channel One stands apart. Its almost permanent leader is Artyom Sheinin, whose biography will be discussed in detail in this article.

Biography

The future TV journalist was born on January 26, 1966 in Moscow. Like almost any schoolboy of that time, he was actively involved in sports and took part in various competitions. In general, Artyom Sheinin (his biography is full of bright events) was a very good student and had exceptionally positive marks in all subjects.

There is information that Artem Grigoryevich grew up without a dad. And because his mother was forced to work hard in order to feed her family, and the boy was brought up by his grandmother. His grandfather worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and therefore often went on business trips abroad. However, a little later, my grandfather was accused of counter-revolutionary activities and sent into exile. During the war, he fought against the Nazis. It was the grandfather who introduced his grandson to historycountries.

After receiving a complete secondary education, the young man quite logically went to serve in the army. This period of his life is worth studying in more detail.

War

In 1984, a young soldier ended up in Afghanistan as part of the 56th Guards Airborne Assault Brigade. There, Artyom Sheinin, whose nationality is so reliable and not known, took part in the hostilities, repeatedly risking his life. All these bloody massacres left an indelible scar in the soul of the guy, because he also happened to be a witness to the impartial actions of commanders and subordinates, to see the death of friends and relatives.

According to Sheinin himself, in Afghanistan he formed a certain circle of concepts and values that may not help in work, but in life they will definitely come in handy. In 1986, he was demobilized with the rank of sergeant.

Life in a "civilian"

Who did Artyom Sheinin want to become after the army? His biography says that, having returned home, he decided to link his fate with history, politics and other considerations. However, once again in Moscow, he could not adapt to new realities for a long time, because the USSR began to slowly disintegrate and everything was changing rapidly.

His career growth did not go right away. And so the young man began to study. He was able to easily enter the Faculty of History at Moscow State University. The learning process itself did not cause any serious difficulties for him and opened up certain prospects. In 1993he graduates from high school and receives a diploma of a specialist. After that, for several years he travels around the country as an anthropologist, studying the terrain of Chukotka and Sakhalin.

Transition to television

But fate decreed otherwise, giving a chance to change profession, which Artyom Sheinin took advantage of. For him, a journalist always seemed like the kind of person who can become a professional in almost any area of life.

Television appeared in Artyom's life after he caught the eye of a recruitment announcement for the RTR channel. Sheinin successfully passed the interview for the position of the host of the program "Endless Journeys", but, ultimately, did not gain a foothold in this job. However, the then producer of the program, Fonina, managed to see a certain creative potential in the young man and invited him to become a screenwriter. He took advantage of the offer and in 1996 took up the corresponding post, and a little later he worked as an editor of a program called “National Interest with Dmitry Kiselyov.”

Professional Development

Artyom Sheinin is a journalist who has worked on several TV channels: ORT, NTV, TVS. He was the editor of the programs "Times", "Classmates" and others. In 2003, he began to lead the Vremena project. In addition, he was often attracted to many other programs, including news, where he managed to reach his full potential as an analyst and columnist. And in 2008 he became the head of the Pozner project. Sheinin was also considered creativeproducer of the One-Storied America program, but in practice he completely supervised the entire team. Thanks to this TV project, Artem was able to travel all over the United States and get to know their customs and way of life well.

Artyom Sheinin, whose biography is interesting to the public for many reasons, declares that he considers himself not a defender of the Kremlin, but a patriot of the state. Largely because of this, he was invited to Channel One already as a presenter.

The new TV show puts the journalist at the pinnacle of his professional career. The First Studio program with Artyom Sheinin comes out in the evenings on weekdays and is dedicated to an active discussion of Russia's foreign and domestic policy, its relations with Ukraine and the United States, sanctions and more. Initially, the leader of the project was Pyotr Tolstoy, but after he was elected a deputy to the State Duma, it was our hero who took the place.

“First Studio” with Artyom Sheinin is literally replete with various skirmishes and disputes, therefore the presenter needs to very clearly and sometimes rigidly maintain order, which he quite successfully copes with. The journalist himself is also active in social networks, where he periodically posts quite interesting posts.

Marital status

Host Artyom Sheinin got married for the first time when he was still a student. The first wife of the journalist was called Natalia. The chosen one was a real keeper of the family hearth and gave birth to her husband's son Dmitry. However, the couple could not withstand all the trials of life andbroke up.

For the second time, Artyom Sheinin, whose personal life is carefully guarded from prying eyes by himself, married a lover named Olga. She is six years younger than him. At present, the journalist's wife is exclusively engaged in raising children, of whom there are two in the family. In 2001, a daughter, Dasha, was born, and eight years later, a son, Grisha. My daughter has hobbies - sewing, literature and English.

Until 2014, the family almost did not delve into the political topic, but after the infamous events in Ukraine, the couple's opinion changed a lot. Artem and Olga began to actively delve into what was happening.

Besides journalism, Artyom Sheinin, whose nationality still causes many questions, regularly visits the gym, occasionally boxing and relaxing with yoga. He also loves to travel and learn the customs of different peoples. In addition to all this, the presenter took part in the dubbing of such comedy animated television series as "Doctor Katz" and "Evil Boy". Artyom Sheinin also wrote a book called “My Afghan. The Sound of Music.”
