Elizabeth (Betsy) Brandt is best known for her role as Heather in the C. B. S. television series Life in the Details and as Mary Schrader in the AMC television series Breaking Bad. During her life, the actress has taken part in more than sixty television and film projects since 1994.

Biography

Betsy Ann Brandt was born in Bay City, Michigan, USA on March 14, 1976. Her mother Janet is a teacher and her father Gary Brandt is an electrician. Betsy Brandt is of German descent.

Graduated from Bay City Western High School in Michigan in 1991.

Betsy Brandt has been interested in theater from a very young age. She was more interested in the technical side of the industry and directing, rather than acting. After starring in a school play, she became interested in acting as well.

Betsy studied theater at Harvard University and also studied as an exchange student at the Scottish Royal Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. She studied at the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov.

Also attended the Illinois State Institute,Urbana, where she received the 2016 Acting Award.

After successfully completing her studies, Betsy Brandt moved to Seattle, Washington. There she worked in the theater and at the same time starred in short films, the first of which was the film "Confidential" in 1998, where she played the role of Natasha. After some time, Betsy moved to Los Angeles.

Private life

Since 1996, Betsy Brandt has been married to her boyfriend from the University of Illinois Urbana named Grady Olsen. The couple have two children: Freddie and Josephine Olsen. Betsy was pregnant with her second child during the filming of the second season of Breaking Bad. The Brandt family currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
