Yuri Zhdanov is a world famous person. Professor who became famous for his huge contribution to the development of organic chemistry. To date, everyone remembers this scientist as someone who was able to raise the rating of one of the universities of the Russian Federation to one of the first places in the country.

Short biography of Yuri Zhdanov

A boy was born on August 20, 1919 in the city of Tver. Yuri's mother, Zinaida, was a housewife. His father, Andrei, devoted himself to party work. Given the activities of the pope, Zhdanov's childhood was noticeably different from the rest of his peers. He, unfortunately, did not spend much time with his father, as he spent most of his time at work. Mom tried to compensate her son for the lack of fatherly attention.

During his school years, Yuri Zhdanov studied excellently and was always respected by his classmates. Teachers praised him not only for his high academic achievements, but also for his exemplary behavior.

Having received a certificate, the hero of our article went to conquer Moscow State University, where he dreamed of studying at the Faculty of Chemistry. On the first try, he passed the entrance exams andwas admitted to the ranks of students. The release of Yuri Zhdanov from the university coincided with the beginning of the 1941 war. He was immediately called to serve in the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army as an instructor.

Scientific activity

Yuriy Zhdanov started his working days right after his demobilization. In parallel with this, he defended his doctoral dissertation and became a graduate student at the Institute of Philosophical Sciences of the USSR. His mentor in science at that time was B. M. Kedrov. Under his leadership in 1948, Yuri successfully defended his thesis. He became a candidate of philosophical sciences. After that, Zhdanov is completely immersed in the life and problems of society.

This leads to the fact that Yuri Andreevich goes to work in the party bodies, doing it for the next 10 years of his life. However, this did not make him quit science. He even managed to teach students within the walls of his native university. In 1957, the scientist defended another candidate's work, after which he was awarded the title of associate professor. Then Zhdanov received an offer to become a rector at one of the universities in Rostov. In 1961, he was finally approved as a professor.

His work has been published in more than 100 publications and has been the most discussed at many international conventions and congresses.

Some of the scientist's works were related to pyrylium s alts. Zhdanov also developed a completely unique type of tautometry, which allows an in-depth study of many chemical and biochemical processes. In 1974, this achievement of Yuri Andreevich was recognized as a scientific discovery.

Also, our hero was interested in frontier sciences, environmental problems and created a department of he alth protection in his native university. She still reminds me of this man at Moscow State University.

Yuri Zhdanov also came up with the world's first and only mathematical model of the Sea of Azov. So far, no one has been able to repeat or create a semblance of this invention.

Private life

The personal life of our hero was not the happiest. The family and children of Yuri Andreevich Zhdanov did not last long in his life.

The wife was the daughter of Stalin - Svetlana Aliluyeva. It so happened that she always obeyed the will of her father, and he made a choice instead of her even in a relationship. Joseph Stalin decided that it was Yuri Zhdanov who was to become the husband of his daughter. Before the official marriage (1949), the couple had never seen each other. It is also known that Svetlana did not marry for the first time. Before that, she was married to Grigory Morozov. To him she gave birth to a son, who was named like a grandfather - Joseph.

When marrying Yuri Zhdanov, an agreement was concluded that the man would adopt Svetlana's child. And so it happened. And in 1950, his wife gave him a daughter, whom they named Katya. When the children of Yuri Zhdanov and Aliluyeva were still small, the couple broke up. In some publications at that time, their photos appeared, where facial expressions did not look happy. Both were unsmiling, gloomy and longing in their eyes.

After the divorce, Svetlana had many more novels, which also endedparting. In 2018, an eight-episode picture was released, which told about Aliluyeva's difficult relationship with her father. The role of Zhdanov in this project went to Oleg Osipov, which he played flawlessly. Film critics praised the actor for such a brilliant performance.

The end of life's journey

This great man passed away in the winter of 2006. None of his close relatives wanted to tell the true cause of Yuri Zhdanov's death. Some media reported that the scientist died from a serious illness that tormented him for the last few years of his life.

A few days after the scientist died, a farewell memorial service was held at the university where he taught.

Memorial plaques have been installed on the main building of the university, as well as on the house. They report that the great man Yuri Andreevich Zhdanov lived and worked here. His former students visit the professor's grave several times a year and bring his favorite chrysanthemums.
