Yuri Yakovlevich was born on May 21, 1951 in the town of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, which is located in the Khabarovsk Territory.

At the university, Yuri Yakovlevich met Yuri Skuratov, who was the Prosecutor General at that time. Thanks to such a useful acquaintance, in the future he was able to grow from an ordinary investigator to the highest rank in the prosecutor's office.

First, Yuri Chaika worked in the prosecutor's office of the Ust-Udinsky district. Then he transferred to the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, after which he moved to a similar position in Irkutsk. There, Yuri Yakovlevich did something that attracted the attention of almost all prosecutors in Russia - he sent a criminal case to the court under the article "Banditry". Yuri Skuratov, having learned about this, made him his deputy.

In 1999, Skuratov was dismissed from the post of Prosecutor General and Yury Chaika became his assistant. He also headed the Ministry of Justice, where he was able to prove himself a demanding, tough official who throws all his strength into the fight against crime. In addition to his other merits, Yuri Yakovlevich created the Office for Observance of Citizens' Rights.

In 2006, something happened that the official had been striving for all his life - now everyone knew him as Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika. For his work in the legal field, Yuri Yakovlevich received the title of Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation.

Yuri Chaika's personal life is stable. In his youth, he met a girl named Elena, whom he married in 1974. She used to be a teacher, but when the children were born, she left her job and devoted herself entirely to family life.

In 2017, Yuri Yakovlevich announced that he would conduct inspections regarding the import of fruits and vegetables into the country. Such an instruction was given to him by the President of the Russian Federation. The investigations conducted by the Prosecutor General were very active and productive, they received encouragement from the Government of the Russian Federation.

So Yuri Chaika is a very extraordinary, active person. He did a lot of good deeds, made good decisions that helped improve the lives of citizens and the whole country as a whole. Unfortunately, this did not help him avoid a lot of rumors and gossip around his activities.
