Yuri Yakovlevich Chaika is a well-known Russian figure, lawyer, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, State Counselor of Justice, member of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Prior to his appointment as Prosecutor General, he was Minister of Justice for a long time. Happily married, has two sons, often appears in scandals.

Biography of Yuri Chaika

Yuri Yakovlevich was born on May 21, 1951 in the town of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, which is located in the Khabarovsk Territory.

The family was not easy. Father - secretary of the Nikolaev city committee of the CPSU. Mom taught mathematics, then she became the director of the school. The future Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika grew up in a large family - in addition to him, there are three more children in the family, and Yura is the youngest.

He was an ordinary child, went to the most ordinary school closest to his house. After school, he entered the Polytechnic University at the Faculty of Shipbuilding, but did not study for long - he left the institute and went to work as an electrician.

After serving in the army, the guy gathered his thoughts and again decided to get a higher education. This time he chose law school.

Career

At the university, Yuri Yakovlevich met Yuri Skuratov, who was the Prosecutor General at that time. Thanks to such a useful acquaintance, in the future he was able to grow from an ordinary investigator to the highest rank in the prosecutor's office.

First, Yuri Chaika worked in the prosecutor's office of the Ust-Udinsky district. Then he transferred to the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, after which he moved to a similar position in Irkutsk. There, Yuri Yakovlevich did something that attracted the attention of almost all prosecutors in Russia - he sent a criminal case to the court under the article "Banditry". Yuri Skuratov, having learned about this, made him his deputy.

In 1999, Skuratov was dismissed from the post of Prosecutor General and Yury Chaika became his assistant. He also headed the Ministry of Justice, where he was able to prove himself a demanding, tough official who throws all his strength into the fight against crime. In addition to his other merits, Yuri Yakovlevich created the Office for Observance of Citizens' Rights.

In 2006, something happened that the official had been striving for all his life - now everyone knew him as Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika. For his work in the legal field, Yuri Yakovlevich received the title of Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation.

Scandals

Yuri Yakovlevich appeared in scandals many times. One of the biggest was that he was accused of covering up the organizers of an illegal business. This happened due to the fact that the son of Yuri Artem was allegedly engaged inillegal business.

In 2015, Yuri Chaika again came to the attention of the press. This happened again because of the son of Artem, who, according to opposition leader Alexei Navalny, was engaged in banditry. Yuri stated that the accusations are absolutely false. Later, he began to claim that he was not helping his sons in any way, they were building their entire business themselves. And son Artem, unlike many, tries to help everyone who really needs it.

Private life

Yuri Chaika's personal life is stable. In his youth, he met a girl named Elena, whom he married in 1974. She used to be a teacher, but when the children were born, she left her job and devoted herself entirely to family life.

In 1975, the son Artem appeared, in 1988 the second son was born, who was named Igor. It was because of them that Yuri Yakovlevich often had conflicts with the press. They decided to follow in their father's footsteps and studied law, but later became businessmen.

At the moment, Yuri Yakovlevich is very actively involved in politics and in no case is he going to leave his post.

He delivered an extensive report to the Federation Council. In this report, he stated that the Investigative Committee illegally detained a huge number of people. Yuri Yakovlevich wanted many laws to be revised and human rights to be expanded.

He demanded that the procedure for detaining a citizen be somewhatchanged. Before being judged, he is usually put in a pre-trial detention center. Yuri Yakovlevich believes that such an action should take place only after authorization by the prosecutor's office, otherwise human rights are violated. But the Government does not yet want to seriously consider the proposals of the hero of the article. Experts believe that Yury Chaika is simply "muddying the waters", because there is a constant struggle between the investigating authorities and the prosecutor's office, each of the authorities is sure that it should be dominant.

In 2017, Yuri Yakovlevich announced that he would conduct inspections regarding the import of fruits and vegetables into the country. Such an instruction was given to him by the President of the Russian Federation. The investigations conducted by the Prosecutor General were very active and productive, they received encouragement from the Government of the Russian Federation.

So Yuri Chaika is a very extraordinary, active person. He did a lot of good deeds, made good decisions that helped improve the lives of citizens and the whole country as a whole. Unfortunately, this did not help him avoid a lot of rumors and gossip around his activities.
