Zheleznovodsk is one of the resort towns of the North Caucasus. Located on the territory of the Stavropol Territory. It belongs to the resorts of the Caucasian mineral waters. History of the city
Earlier, there was a small Cossack settlement on the site of Zheleznovodsk. The city was founded in the 19th century. This happened after the discovery of mineral water sources on the slope of Mount Zheleznaya. Patients began to come here regularly for treatment.
Infrastructure development proceeded gradually. Hotels appeared only half a century after the start of using local mineral waters. Gradually, Zheleznovodsk took on the appearance of a European resort.
