Education
After graduating from school, Yastrzhembsky Sergey Vladimirovich enters the most prestigious Russian university, MGIMO, at the Faculty of International Law. Even in his college years, he stood out from his classmates, among whom was now the richest businessman Alisher Usmanov, MGIMO rector Anatoly Torkunov, and a major official Sergei Prikhodko. During his years of study, Yastrzhembsky was able to gain access to a special repository of the institute's library, where he could read books that were not available to the general public. Also, already during his studies, he began to regularly travel abroad, which was almost an unprecedented thing at that time. The start of the journey
After graduating from graduate school, Yastrzhembsky Sergei Vladimirovich came to work at the Academy of Social Sciences as a junior researcher. But he did not want to go further in science, he dreamed of living work "in the field", i.e. Abroad. Therefore, he gladly accepted the offer to work in Prague. Here he served as a referent, deputy executive secretary of the journal "Problems of Peace and Socialism". Diplomatic activity
In 1989, Yastrzhembsky returned to Moscow and entered the service of the international department of the Central Committee of the CPSU as a senior assistant. It was another career step. The next step is work in embassies. But life has made its own adjustments to the plans of the future diplomat. The party was living its last days, the system began to collapse, and Yastrzhembsky went to work in the Megapolis magazine, then he also worked in the VIP magazine, in the Foundation for Socio-Political Research, in the Department of Information and Press at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But this whole kaleidoscope was just a search, these two years he was looking forthe opportunity to return to the diplomatic path. And when the post of ambassador to Brazil became vacant, he began to collect things for the move. But an old friend in Czechoslovakia, Alexander Ud altsov, dissuaded him, saying that the opportunity to travel to a new country would soon open up. So in 1993, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Slovakia, Sergey Yastrzhembsky, appeared. In this status, he worked for 3 years, during this period he organized an official visit to the country of the President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin, and this was the next step in his career.
Working in the Kremlin
In 1996, the newly elected President Yeltsin formed his team, A. Chubais proposed a new person for the post of press secretary - Yastrzhembsky. Boris Nikolaevich remembered him from Slovakia and gave his consent to the appointment. For two years Sergei Vladimirovich worked with Yeltsin. It was a very difficult time, the President was ill, made mistakes that needed to be leveled and smoothed out. Yastrzhembsky did it professionally and with dignity. After the default of 1998, there is a partial change of the presidential team and the press secretary is resigned.
But the former assistant to the President of the Russian Federation was not excluded from the retinue of the first person. He only went into the shadows for a while, for a while he moved to the Moscow Government, to Yuri Luzhkov.
After Vladimir Putin came to the Kremlin, Yastrzhembsky again returns to the highest echelons of power. He creates and heads the Office of Emergencyinformation situations. His share was the coverage of such emergencies as the tragedy with the Kursk, the capture by terrorists of Nord-Ost. He also worked in negotiations with the Americans on the fight against international terrorism. After the presidential elections in 2004, Yastrzhembsky became an assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and a representative of the Russian Federation in negotiations on the development of relations with the European Union. So after his resignation in 1998, he went to Africa, where he met his second wife. And in 2008, having resigned from all posts, he also took up hunting.
