Difficult childhood

Pyotr Aleinikov was left an orphan in 1920. First, while floating down the river, the father died, and almost immediately after that, the mother passed away. And 12 years later, in 1932, death took my sister Katerina and brother Nikolai.

But even before the death of his brother and sister, Peter began to leave home often. He wandered the streets, begging. Later, little Petya ends up in the Shklov boarding school. It was there that, as a child, he began to think about the acting profession. The fact is that Peter often visited the local projectionist, who told him how films are created and recorded on film and how the image is then projected onto the screen. From that moment on, the boy had a dream: he decided to become an artist. Petya sincerely believed that someday it would come true, but for this you need to get to the capital. The dreamer escapes from the boarding school and sits as a hare on one of the trains. Butthis time he was not destined to reach the capital. At one of the stations he was caught. After this incident, Peter is assigned to the Barsukovskaya children's labor colony. There he enjoyed visiting the drama club, in which he played his first roles.

Studying at the Institute of Performing Arts

The next stop on the life path of the future artist was the Mogilev commune. Decades of the October Revolution. There he himself initiated the creation of a drama club, the repertoire for which he chose on his own.

In 1930, having received a letter of recommendation from the administration of the commune, 16-year-old Pyotr Aleinikov arrived in Leningrad. There he successfully enters the Institute of Performing Arts. At the Faculty of Cinema, Aleinikov studied with the notorious director Sergei Gerasimov. The mentor already then tried to support his students and gave them the opportunity to show their acting skills in their own films.

First love

Peter Aleinikov, whose biography as a film actor began precisely in the films of Gerasimov, met his first love on the set. He without looking back falls in love with his partner, aspiring actress Tamara Makarova. However, the young man did not dare to talk about his feelings, silently enduring love suffering. As a result, Tamara marries, but not Aleinikov, but Gerasimov. Heartbroken, Peter flooded the problems with alcohol, which ended in a long drinking bout. He could not continue filming and left the set.

First roles

Pyotr Aleinikov played his first episodic roles in the films "Counter" and "Peasants". And the role of Petka Molibog in the film of the same Gerasimov "Seven Brave", which was released in 1936, became a real triumph for him. The plot of the picture tells about a group of young polar explorers who steadfastly and boldly mastered the Far North. It is interesting that the same Tamara Makarova became his partner. In order to recreate the real picture of events, the film crew traveled to many uncharted places. The actors climbed the glaciers of Elbrus, wintered on the islands in the Barents Sea, trained in skiing and parachuting in the Khibiny.

Tractor Drivers

Later, already married Peter Aleinikov, an actor already famous at that time, starred in the cult musical comedy "Tractor Drivers". After the premiere, the leading actors Andreev and Aleinikov became almost the most popular artists in the country. The unbridled and popular adoration addressed to the two friends helped them out in many delicate situations. It was said that once in Kyiv, being pretty tipsy, Aleinikov and Andreev did not reach the hotel where they lived, but spent the night not just anywhere, but in the window of a furniture store, where there was an exhibition sample of a sofa. In the morning they woke up already in the bullpen. The strict duty officer recognized the artists, but he was still going to draw up the protocol. After futile persuasion, the angry Andreev knocked over the inkwell on the protocol drawn up. The chief was called. He arrived, but not alone, but with a whole crowd of relatives and friends. After that, the detention smoothly flowed intofeast with songs and dances.

Pyotr Aleinikov, whose filmography continued with the main role in the film adaptation of Yershov's fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse", is becoming a popular favorite. It is interesting that in this picture he starred with his wife Valentina and little son Taras.

A terrible disease

In 1946 he was offered the role of Vanya Kursky in the movie novel "Big Life". He agreed. The film was successful.

And Petr Martynovich could have played many such characteristic roles if it weren't for his addiction to alcohol. His talent and merits were crossed out by completely inadequate behavior, which he demonstrated more than once on the set. They stopped inviting him, because he could not come to rehearsals, to shootings, or even go on a binge and go nowhere.

Alcoholism greatly undermined the he alth of the artist. Frequent use of alcohol provoked the appearance of many diseases of the heart, blood vessels, and the musculoskeletal system. And in the early 60s, due to progressive wet pleurisy, one lung failed, as a result of which it had to be removed.

In 1955, the novice director S. Rostotsky started shooting his first film "Earth and People". At his own peril and risk, he invited Aleinikov to one of the roles, who by that time had not been filmed at all for several years. Pyotr Martynovich swore to the director that he would not drink and would not let him down. The artist fulfilled his promise, but afterfilming took up the old again and went into a long binge. The disease finally consumed him. He left the Aleinikov family, completely forgetting about his wife and children (in addition to his son, he had a younger daughter, Arina). He lived no one knows where, as a rule, these were apartments of completely strangers who, like him, were captured by a terrible disease - alcoholism.

His last work was participation in the film "Thirst Quencher". Then, a few months before his death, he seemed to prove in parting that he was a really talented and reliable actor. He did not drink, worked on the set for 12 hours, impressing everyone with his hard work.

But the exhausted body could not stand it. Pyotr Aleinikov, an actor whose biography proves the tragic consequences of alcohol abuse, passed away on June 9, 1965. His body rests at the Novodevichy cemetery.
