The world is infinitely amazing and diverse, because each person is fundamentally different from the other and has his own background. Each of us probably has in stock a couple of the most incredible stories that will be interesting to tell in the company. But in the lives of some, truly impressive events happened. That is why they made the list of the 10 most incredible stories.

Bone Wars

Othniel Charles Marsh
Othniel Charles Marsh

The end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th century was marked by such a phenomenon as "Jurassic fever": scientists competed in the extraction of historical materials and knowledge about dinosaurs. Othoniel Marsh, a Yale University paleontologist at the Peabody Museum, and Edward Cope of the Academy of Natural Sciences, were especially successful in this pursuit. Because of their success, scientists became sworn enemies: they always competed and strove to appropriate each other's finds for themselves. For years and decades, Marsh and Cope publicly humiliated each other in their scientific papers, accusing each other of incompetence and financial fraud. In doing so, both researchers achievedgreat heights in paleontology and made a huge contribution to science: thanks to their work, classical representatives of the most ancient era were discovered - Triceratops, Apatosaurus, Stegosaurus, Diplodocus and many others. Scientists certainly could have made many more amazing discoveries, but during one of the expeditions, Marsh sent his people to follow Cope. According to rumors, the "spies" actually blew each other up at the same time, fearing public exposure. And so ended the age of two geniuses who were defeated by hostility … But their union could have brought amazing results, instead of becoming one of the most incredible stories of people that ended so sadly.

Man with two penises

This incident happened in India, in New Delhi. Perhaps it can be called the most incredible love story: a young man gave up his own penis for the sake of a wedding. However, the 24-year-old resident of Delhi lost little, because he had a second. His case is considered unique and extremely rare, but still has a medical name - a double phallus. This deviation has been recorded only about 100 times in the history of medicine. As a rule, one of the organs in this case is underdeveloped, but in a guy from Delhi, both penises functioned perfectly and in fact were not inferior to each other either in size or in usefulness. So a difficult choice, which of the phalluses to leave, and which to amputate, the young man left to the doctors. What you won’t do for the sake of a happy and normal sex life with your future wife. Youngthe person chose to remain anonymous for the sake of history, but the couple is rumored to be living happily together to this day - perhaps such a strong love also deserves to be called one of the most incredible stories.

Chest like an airbag

You never know what your life decisions might lead to. One of the most incredible facts in history is: "high-quality silicone breasts can save lives." Elena Marinova, a 24-year-old girl from Sofia, is well aware of this. She never regretted the artificially enlarged breasts, because once she saved her from a monstrous collision during a car accident. Her huge silicone bust acted like an airbag, protecting vital organs from a significant blow. Of course, the prostheses themselves could not be saved during the traffic accident, so after the accident, the breasts lost their sexual attractiveness and everything had to be redone in the future, but in any case, Elena remained alive.

Sea debt

The most incredible life stories are often born in Foggy Albion. Paul Westlake, 30, once lost his wallet at sea while swimming in England at night. The purse contained all the man's cash and credit cards, so the loss upset him a lot, but he could not even imagine how his things could return to him. A few days later, a fisherman casting nets in the area called him to say that he had found Paul's wallet in the claw of a lobster caught in the net. All the contents of the wallet were in place. After this incident, the fisherman stated that althoughhe has never eaten lobster before, and now he will refuse to try them at all - out of respect for this amazing occasion.

Hurricane Raymond

The most incredible story in the life of people happened to Tami Ashcraft and her fiancé Richard Sharpe. Being experienced sailors, they accepted an order to ferry a yacht from San Diego to Tahiti, but did not expect to be in the epicenter of a four-point storm, which later received the name "Raymond". The pair faced 30-meter storm waves and winds exceeding 140 knots. While they were fighting the storm, the yacht still capsized, and Tami was below deck. Having hit her head, the girl lost consciousness, but after 27 hours she woke up and was able to get out. Her fiancé was less fortunate: his safety cord was broken. But it was a big stroke of luck for Tami that the boat flipped back to its normal position. All equipment and supplies were destroyed. Tami built a sail and divided the pitiful remnants of supplies over 40 days, during which she managed to reach her destination. The girl is still conquering the seas, despite the tragedy.

Survivor cook

Harrison Okena

Another maritime story is rightfully considered one of the most incredible stories in the world. In 2003, Harrison Okena, who worked as a cook on a ship, had a chance to get into a terrible storm. The bottom of the ship began to leak, and very quickly the ship went to the bottom, while the cook himself was locked in one of the cabins, in whichan air cushion has formed. Harrison was locked up at a depth of 30 meters for three days until he was discovered by divers searching the wreck. Possibly, Koku was lucky twice: in the cabin he found a bottle of sweet carbonated drink, which helped him not to die of hunger and thirst while he was waiting for at least some help.

Survive the jungle

Juliana the jungle survivor
Juliana the jungle survivor

17-year-old Juliana told the world one of the most incredible stories of her life that happened to her. In 1971, the girl was flying on an airplane when lightning suddenly hit his wing. The plane crashed into the Peruvian jungle. For 9 whole days, the girl wandered all alone through tropical forests full of wild animals and poisonous insects, until she miraculously came across a camp of lumberjacks. Her story formed the basis of the script for two films. By the way, the brave girl was not turned away from nature by the terrifying adventure that happened to her: having matured, Juliana became a zoologist.

Living skeleton

In 2006, Australian shepherds were frightened by the appearance of a skeleton in their camp - at least it seemed so at first to local workers. But this living skeleton turned out to be Ricky Mega. He told the shepherds the most incredible story of their lives. One day, Ricky was picked up by a hitchhiker who did something to him that caused Ricky to pass out. The last thing he could remember was the highway, after which he woke up in the bush, when the dingoes were already getting closer to start eating it. For almost 3 months, Ricky Megi wandered the bush alone, eating, whatever: insects, frogs, larvae, snakes. Ricky was incredibly lucky that it was the rainy season and he did not die from thirst and heat. During his wanderings, he lost weight from 105 to 48 kg, but survived, miraculously stumbling upon residential settlements.

The oldest marathon runner

Faja Singh
Faja Singh

One of the most incredible stories tells of a Hindu named Fauja Singh, who completed his first marathon at the age of 89. And after that, he did not stop his jogging. In 2011, Fauja entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest marathon runner in the world when he completed a full marathon - a distance of 42 km - at exactly 100 years old. Singh is currently 107 years old and continues to run 6-8 km every day and promises to run until his death.

Fucking Jack

Jack Churchill
Jack Churchill

The most incredible story of the entire Second World War tells of a captain named Jack Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill, who received such a high-profile nickname as Warrior Jack Churchill, but more of an allied army officer known as Fucking Jack. He was called the most frostbitten military man in this whole massacre. Initially, Jack went to the front as a volunteer, although he had little idea of what and how to do there. But the very word "war" sounded terrifying to him - and therefore, according to his logic, it was also fun. One of the most famous statements of Jack Churchill says that any officer who went on the battlefield without a sword is dressed inappropriately - he, accordingly, did not part with his sword. And he really used it, likewith his faithful bow, which could also often be taken into battle. And Jack used his weapons really skillfully: he managed to capture at least 42 German soldiers and a howitzer crew, being armed with only a piece of iron. In addition, one day Churchill, along with his part, was sent to capture one of the enemy objects, called "Point 622". Jack broke into the front ranks, making his way and those around him through mines and barbed wire. Although heavy fire from enemy volleys sent at least half of Jack's squad to the next world, and the rest were killed by howitzer shell explosions, Jack Churchill miraculously survived - a real phenomenon of the Second World War. Just as the German invaders set off to search the corpses of their defeated British rivals, they discovered Freaky Jack in the explosion crater. He played the harmonica, and his sword, as always, was with him. It was with them that he finished off the Germans. Nevertheless, at that time he was captured and sent to a concentration camp. But, according to Jack himself, he got bored there, so he left - he didn’t run away, but he just took it and left. Then he was intercepted and sent to another camp, but he left from there too. Jack Churchill walked over 150 miles with only a rusty can of onions for food. He walked and walked until the Americans found him and picked him up. They sent him to England, where he found, to his dismay, that the war was over. Jack was extremely dissatisfied with the act of the Americans: “If it weren’t for the damn Yankees, it would be fun to fight for another 10 years!”
