Egyptian Temple of Pharaoh Ramses
He still stands under the scorching southern sun today. The sanctuary is located to the northwest of another temple erected in honor of Seti I. By the way, not far from this sanctuary was once located another Egyptian temple, erected to Ramses II. However, the latter has not survived to this day. his walls. Together they form a kind of intricate pattern. Thanks to these inscriptions, modern scholars became aware of the grandiose battle of the Egyptians with the Hittites at Kadet, in which the 20,000-strong army led by Ramses opposed twice the forces of the Hittite king Mutawali. The masonry of this structure has not been completely preserved, but only two meters in height. However, the layout of a rather large courtyard is still visible. It is surrounded by a colonnade of pillars and figures of Osiris. In addition to the courtyard, this Egyptian temple has two halls and many auxiliary rooms. From all that remains today, the building was the most elaborate and luxurious of any building during the reign of Ramses II (1279-1213 BC). The building material for the sanctuary was fine limestone and red-black granite for the doorways. As well as sandstone for columns and gypsum, from which the interior wall decoration was created.

This building is today the largest religious structure in the world. The sanctuary is one of the most ancient Egyptian structures. It
was built in honor of the moon god Khonsu, depicted as a figure of a mummified baby, sometimes with the head of a falcon. During its inception, it was located in the administrative capital of the state. Its construction began induring the reign of Amenhotep III, and was completed only by the pharaohs of the XX dynasty.
Egyptian temple of Hatshepsut
It was erected in honor of Queen Hatshepsut near the city of Thebes. In ancient times, it was a temple of amazing beauty, decorated with many terraces. It is partially embedded in the mountain. Its width is almost forty meters. The rows of colonnades of the sanctuary are somewhat reminiscent of honeycombs. It is interesting that this building was built in a fairly short time: in nine years (1482 BC - 1473 BC).
