The audience knows this actor by his images of senior lieutenant Skvortsov (“Only old men go to battle”), whaler Ned Land (TV series “Captain Nemo”).
The phrase "We will live!" Said by his character really expresses his personality, suits him completely: both in life and in creativity. After such a hint, it is difficult not to find out who it is. This, of course, is Vladimir Talashko, a Soviet and Ukrainian actor.
Ageless Hollywood type artist
Just recently, in 2015, we saw his face on TV in a public service announcement. It is remarkable that even now from this not aged and strong-willed person, working as a theater teacher. Karpenko-Kary, breathes kindness and cordiality.
He took up creativity all of a sudden, even for himself. Seen at an amateur art competition in Moscow by the director of the Donetsk Theater. Artyom, his bright, memorable appearance could conquer Hollywood.
So half a century ago, a guy from a simple mining family, who did not have a special education, by chance became an actor, gaininga profession in which he immediately plunged headlong and for life.
Young years
Before his acting, Talashko Vladimir Dmitrievich, born in 1946, chose the profession of a miner, typical for his peers-boys from the village of Novokalinovka, Donetsk region (he came here at the age of six from Volyn), and did not think about another. After school, he studied at a mining college. Worked in a mine for a year. Even then, the orientation of the personality was manifested.
I did not strive for honors, there were favorite and least favorite subjects of study. Sopromat, theoretical mechanics, was not easy to come by. On the other hand, he was quite successful in sports (places in cycling and weightlifting competitions, played in amateur theater productions, participated in a voluntary people's squad).
The son's unexpected passion for acting was at first perceived by his parents ironically as frivolous.
Service, institute
However, when, after military service, Vladimir Talashko entered the Ukrainian acting forge - the Karpenko-Kary Institute (Kyiv), their opinion changed. They saw that the son really seriously and for the rest of his life chose a creative profession for himself. The talented and hard-working student, like a sponge, absorbed the lessons of creativity from already established teachers of the institute: Nikolai Mashchenko (director of the films "How the Steel Was Tempered", "The Gadfly") and People's Artist of the USSR Konstantin Stepankov.
Respect and admiration for the hard miner's work he kept for life. Himself an established actorVolodymyr Talashko will invariably be called "a native of Donbass". No wonder, since he lost both his grandfather and his father in mine accidents.
Successful start to film career
As a result, the young actor, who not only has a bright heroic appearance of the Slavic type, but also knows how to subtly psychologically show his characters, turned out to be more than in demand by Soviet directors.
He already at the age of 23 became one of the most filmed actors of the film studio. Dovzhenko. What attracted the audience to it? Perhaps maximalism, perhaps an anguish. Vladimir Talashko, living the life of his heroes, always tried to set the bar of spiritual and cultural as high as possible in them. This is evidenced by his most vivid images from the actor's extensive filmography, numbering more than fifty films.
Starley Skvortsov ("Only old men go to battle")
There are films that are destined to become eternal. How is genius born? There is obviously no answer to this question.
In cinema, everything begins with the uniqueness of the director's intention. In the script by Leonid Fedorovich Bykov, embodied on a black and white tape, the main thing was to rethink and artistically show bit by bit the memories of Soviet combat pilots he personally collected.
When showing the drama of the war and everyday life of the fighter squadron, Vladimir Talashko adequately played the image of his hero (photo of his character, pilot Skvotsov, see below).
It was a role that any actor could only dream of. She is ambiguous. The film actor plays a man who once experienced horror during a tense battlefrom the possibility of his death. He was mentally traumatized, his motivation decreased. War breaks not only iron. Oh, how difficult it was to fight the reckless German aces pilots!
Psychological image
Then, guided more by reflexes than consciousness, Sergei Skvortsov arbitrarily left the battle. The senior lieutenant is not new to the war. He is far from a coward. Just in battle, the instinct of self-preservation was stronger. Sergei finds himself in a situation where no one in the world, except himself, can help him. He goes through a painful and tense chain of doubts, restlessness, detached confession and wins. Skvortsov conquers fear, he demonstrates a convincing and worthy victory over himself - the most important in his life.
The pilot again shows the skill and perseverance of the air fighter. For the courage shown, the pilot - senior lieutenant is awarded the next military rank, but he dies. Brave, beautiful. A death that heroes can only dream of. Saying words that made the audience ache in the heart.
This role is for breaking, for tearing the soul. Having played it, Vladimir Talashko really became the people's favorite.
About the successful film with the participation of Talashko "Captain Nemo"
The Soviet film version - a symbiosis of "20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "Steam House" - was filmed in the Crimea forty years ago. Director Vasily Levin, according to world film critics, managed to create one of the most successful films in the world based on the works of Jules Verne.
The film is loved by many generationsmoviegoers. Even now, several decades later, his direction does not look archaic: the actors are convincing, you believe them. Of course, now the time is different, the entire video sequence of modern adventure films is filled with computer effects. However (we are talking about "Captain Nemo") the talented, memorable music from Zatsepin and the expressive look of the performer of the role of Nemo - Dvorzhetsky, the very spirit of the search for faith in the power of the human mind, inherent in the film, do not leave viewers indifferent even today.
Whaler Ned Land
The role of the whaler Ned Land, played by Vladimir Talashko, became a real decoration of the film. Adventure films (meaning outstanding ones) enjoy the sympathy of the audience not only due to the fascination of the plot, the skill with which the actor presents his hero to them also matters. From this point of view, Talashko was more than convincing. His Ned Land, a courageous and strong man from Canada, the most skilled whaler in the New World, you believe immediately, from the first minutes of the film. This is an amazingly solid and truly masculine image - an undoubted find and a real decoration of the film.
In addition to the two above-mentioned famous films, the actor starred with director Nikolai Mashchenko as a Red Army soldier Okunev ("How the Steel Was Tempered"), a sailor Ognivtsev ("Commissioners").
Unrecognized role of Vladimir Dmitrievich in Zemel's film "Cannibal"
Unfortunately, the decline of Soviet cinema caused by global socialpolitical events. It cannot be said that Vladimir Talashko did not receive any offers from film directors at all. His filmography has not stopped. However, the notorious crisis of the genre affected (and not through the fault of the actor). There were no roles capable of bringing glory. Something about his acting career was beginning to not connect. Most often, the directors offered him the wrong scripts and the wrong roles. However, there was a diametrically opposite situation.
Once in 1991 (meaning the film "Cannibal" directed by Gennady Zemel), the actor found his image of Captain Okunev. Emotional, hard, negative. The script itself appealed to the actor - a real "smoking cubic piece of conscience."
Briefly about the scenario chosen by Talashko
The situation around which the plot is truly artistically played up is real: the largest uprising of prisoners driven to despair in the USSR in 1954 in the Kazakh penitentiary. Really inconvenient and still for many politicians, the director displayed a horror that is hard to imagine. People who demanded human life were killed by internal troops: they crushed them with tanks, tore them into pieces of meat with bursts of heavy machine guns from armored personnel carriers, and even inflicted air strikes. Salvation and mercy were not there.
I passed the script through myself and realized that it was his, and the actor Talashko. Vladimir Dmitrievich realized that everything came together: script, role, talent. The actor (in his own words) went all out, showing one of his best roles.
The only thing that didn't follow was a confession. Tape turned out greatpolitically uncompetitive. And although in 1992 she participated in the Cannes Film Festival, she was simply not shown to a wide audience. And during the State Emergency Committee (which the director himself spoke about in an interview), they even had to hide it, burying it in the ground.
Apparently, to this day, regarding the "Cannibal", there is an unofficial order for film channels: do not let it in.
Productive Public Activity
The actor's direct, honest, friendly disposition has always impressed people. His views, aimed at educating the spirituality of people, found and find understanding. No wonder Vladimir Talashko came from a simple working family. His biography contains facts that testify not only to high human dignity, but also to the real organizational talent of the famous actor. And he had energy in the 90s to match his character Ned Land.
Judge for yourself: Vladimir Dmitrievich managed through bureaucratic thorns to break through, establish, organize (you can choose any of the verbs) a foundation named after the outstanding and popular director Leonid Bykov. He also founded the film festival "Old films about the main thing." On television, he led the program “Field Mail of Memory”. Unfortunately, these non-commercial undertakings did not find proper support from the state in the future. All of them are now in the past. The most successful project was the Leonid Bykov Foundation, however, it was also closed at the insistence of the director's daughter Maryana.
Private life
What is the life of the People's Artist of Ukraine Talashko Vladimir Dmitrievich? A photo of him taken in 2015leaves no doubt: of course, creativity. He is still invited to appear in films.
He devotes a lot of time to teaching at Karpenko-Kary University: he is preparing an acting course for television.
Vladimir Talashko is traditionally laconic about his personal life. Children, wife and film career - how often these are mutually exclusive concepts. Aren't fifty films already a testament to their non-family time?
The daughter of Bogdan Kudyavtsev is a lawyer. Granddaughters - Lina Gerasimchuk and Yesenia Kudyavtseva. Wife Ludmila. Here are the fragmentary information that the average reader will be limited to. However, more detailed information can be found in the actor's interview. From his legal wife, Vladimir left for a hostel, barely choosing an acting profession for himself. He explains the gap that happened by the discrepancy between the rhythm of the life of an actor and a person with a normal job.
So, in essence, Vladimir lives separately. However, with age, his life priorities have changed. If in his younger years, according to the actor, his only love was cinema, now he pays a lot of attention to his daughter Dana and granddaughters: the older eleventh grader Lina and the younger Yesenia. Now, perhaps, not art, but relatives for him - the inner circle.
Instead of a conclusion
Vladimir Dmitrievich, despite his age, does not look like an old man at all. How the lines suit him: “And instead of a heart, a fiery motor!”
Leading actor of the film studio. Dovzhenko has not been out of work for a single day since its collapse. He is already over 70. However, Talashko is a brand. He is in demand and, in addition to teaching, he hosts television programs on the Glas channel. The famous actor is a frequent member of the jury of film festivals.
