It all started on the Volga beach, near the city of Ulyanovsk, when two girls approached volleyball coach Emil Zamaletdinov, who worked here with his daughter, asking for help in learning how to play beach volleyball.
From the "spark"
By general standards, Anna Malova is by no means a short woman, but in volleyball, even in women's volleyball, she is very short.
On the Volga beach, coach Zinganshin was attracted not by Anya's external data (she was one of the girls), but by a small "sparkle" - a desire to learn how to play, achieve more, move on, a passionate desire to win and fight to the end. What kind of teacher does not love in a student, sorry for the tautology, love for what he teaches. Anna received an invitation to play in the volleyball section at the Torpedo stadium and took advantage of it.
Isn't height important?
The main trend of modern volleyball is the player's height. Jumping ability and agility are no longer valued as before, and therefore young volleyball players who do not have the prerequisites to grow up to two meters and above are almost immediately placed a barrier on the way to professionals. Forbid to playat the amateur level, no one, of course, can, but here it is higher … You can compensate for growth with dedication, dexterity, and the ability to read the game. But this requires a lot of strength and experience, which means that only a few pass this path. Anna Malova in volleyball is one of them.
Started her way in volleyball as a setter. Most probably smart and technical in volleyball. The ability to make an accurate and measured pass to the right place and at the right height is not given to everyone, and growth is not critical for him.
Having gone all the way in Ulyanovsk, Anna wanted more. Yes, there is also the former coach of the Russian women's team, Italian Carrara, at one of the tournaments, noticed the "sparkling" Malova and advised coach Zamaletdinov to show the girl to the coaches of the teams of the major and super league.
"Spark" in "Spark"
So Anna Malova ended up in the Samara "Iskra", whose coach advised me to change roles to Libero. For a binder, growth at this level was still not enough, but for a libero, high growth is still rather a hindrance. It’s very difficult for the big man to fold down and play defense: he doesn’t have time. So Anna found her place. Everything came to the court: growth, and dexterity, and perseverance, and technique, and dedication.
From "Ufimochka" to the national team
After the disbanded "Iskra" was "Ufimochka". From it, Anna was invited to the national team, where she achieved with her all the latest successes of the team. The transition to the Moscow “Dynamo” only approved the authority of the ubiquitous throughout the siteLibero.
Towards your dreams?
Anna Malova's cherished desire has always been the title of world champion and the Olympic Games. It's in sports. But in her life they are no different from the desires of ordinary women: to meet true love and give birth to children.
From the first, only "uncredited" Europe submitted, but the second captured Malova so much that she interrupted her career and had already given birth to a daughter. Will Anna return to the site? Maybe yes. Especially since the last failure of the women's team at the European Championships, many associated with the lack of a blond "sparkle". Although, who knows: what is it, female happiness?
