In our country, Pavlova is one of the famous figure skating mentors, in her youth she was a figure skater, she skated in tandem with Vasily Blagov. Natalya Evgenievna is a master of sports of the Soviet Union, but is currently better known for her coaching activities. It was not without her help that the famous Olympic champions in pair skating Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin achieved maximum heights in sports. The biography of Natalia Pavlova will be discussed in the article.

Athlete career

Natalya started to train with coach Viktor Kudryavtsev, at first she was a single skater, then Tatyana Anatolyevna Tarasova herself saw the potential in her and invited her to her group, which she was recruiting at that time. Giving the opportunity to showher skills and abilities, Tarasova decided to put the athlete in a pair with the novice figure skater Vasily Blagov - and she did not lose. Already the first tournament for the guys was successful.

The competition was organized by the Moscow News newspaper, the couple skated their program cleanly, but lost the championship on points, taking second place in the standings.

A little later, Vasily and Natalia won the European Cup, but they failed to become champions of the USSR. Literally before the start of the competition, both caught a cold and skated their program uncleanly, as a result of which they ended up only fourth. Tarasova understood that it was worth changing something, suggested that Natalya Pavlova change her partner, but the girl refused - in this case, she would have to offend her friend, whose partner she claimed. So the performances ended, and she had to forget about great sporting achievements - the girl announced her retirement.

Start coaching

A short time later, Natalya Pavlova (photo below) received an invitation from Tamara Moskvina and her husband to engage in coaching - to recruit talented young people. Together with Moskvina, Natalya began to train juniors, for some time the girl was "on the hook" - she provided assistance, but until a conflict situation occurred with Tamara.

After Natalia began to train young people on her own, without anyone's help and tips. In 1993, Marina Yeltsova and Andrey Bushkov, who by that time had achieved participation in the European Championship, turned toPavlova and her choreographer Svetlana Korol in order to successfully perform at the World Championships. They succeeded in 1996.

A year later, the couple received gold at the European Championships and silver at the World Championships. However, the performance at the Olympic Games for the athletes became unsuccessful and after that they did not want to compete together.

Working with Totmianina and Marinin

After the departure of Eltsova and Bushkov, Natalia Pavlova set to work with other athletes - Tatyana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin. The couple firmly established their positions in the national team, but were slightly behind Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze in technique.

Unexpectedly, in the same period, Bushkov and Yeltsova returned to Pavlova, now she has already begun to train two pairs. However, both Marinin and Totmyanina were not ready for such a turn of events, therefore they considered that more attention would be paid to Bushkov and Yeltsova. The future Olympians decided to leave Natalya Evgenievna and move on to Tamara Moskvina, but no agreement was reached, so the guys had to go to the coach Oleg Vasilyev, then a beginner.

Moving to Moscow

In 2006, Natalia Pavlova lost her husband, the famous Soviet basketball player Yuri Pavlov, there was a protracted crisis and the woman was not left with a depressed state. Rescued the case. The coach was personally invited by the President of the Moscow Figure Skating Federation, Irina Raber, to move from St. Petersburg to Moscow to train juniors at the Dream rink.

Natalia agreed and startedtrain youth - Lyubov Ilyushechkina and Nodari Maisuradze, Anastasia Martyusheva and Alexei Roganov, Tatyana Danilova and Andrey Novoselov.
