Oleg Tyagnibok, whose biography will be described in this article, did not accidentally become such a successful person, and it was not by chance that his Svoboda party became one of the main and one of the most influential political forces in the government of Ukraine. Oleg Yaroslavovich claims that his actions are not just big words, but an action plan that will be correctly and consistently used in every region of the country to improve the living standards of citizens. In addition, the concept of "Tyagnibok - Maidan" has recently become inseparable.

How it all began

Tyagnibok Oleg Yaroslavovich was born on November 7, 1968 in Lvov. The real surname along the grandmother's line sounded like Fortman. The whole family of the future leader was educated and led an active social and political life. Yaroslav Tyagnibok was a doctor of the USSR boxing team. As you can understand, the family in those years did not live in poverty and practically did not need anything. Mother, Bogdana Artemova, worked as a pharmacist in one of the Lviv pharmacies. When the future politician was in the 10th grade, helost his father. The boy then experienced this event very painfully, which affected his entire future life. As Oleg Tyagnibok himself, whose biography is not easy, says, he had to endure difficult moments in his life: “In those years, I was brought up, or rather, my grandfather continued my upbringing, who taught me everything that I now know, I can and for what I live.”

Influential ancestors

Grandfather, Artem Tsegelsky, was a Greek Catholic priest who was exiled to Siberia for ten years in 1946 because he did not betray his faith and did not agree to convert to the Orthodox Church from the Catholic. After returning to his homeland, he trained underground seminarians, who eventually revived the Catholic Church in western Ukraine. The great-grandfather of Oleg Yaroslavovich, Longin Tsegelsky, in 1919 was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ZUNR (Western Ukrainian People's Republic) in the USA, and after the formation of the USSR he remained to live there.

After the death of her husband, some time later, Oleg's mother got married. The guy has a pretty good relationship with his stepfather, and he sometimes calls him dad.

Tyagnibok: biography, nationality

There are different versions of this. Tyagnibok Oleg, whose nationality is not in doubt only among members of his family, was born in the Ukrainian SSR. At the same time, you can hear common opinions that the eminent politician is not Ukrainian.

Pogorelets Oleg Tyagnibok

The leader's family lived in a small apartment in the center of the city. Just at the time when Tyagnibok was submitting his application forparticipation in parliamentary elections, his apartment burned down. According to the politician himself, this was arranged by his opponents, who wanted to intimidate Oleg Yaroslavovich, but, as you can understand, they did not succeed. After the elections were successful, the politician moved to Kyiv, where he lives to this day.

Education

Tyagnibok Oleg Yaroslavovich has two higher educations. One - in the field of medicine, and the second - in the field of justice. At first he studied at a Lviv school. The institution was distinguished by an in-depth study of foreign languages, thanks to which the politician is fluent in English, German, Polish and Russian. After school, he entered the Lviv State Medical Institute, where he received his first education as a surgeon. Oleg Tyahnybok received his second education at the Lviv State Institute named after Ivan Yakovich Frank (at the Faculty of Law), which he graduated with a gold medal.

Career

Success in the political life of the politician was not achieved immediately, but after many years of hard work. He served in the ranks of the Soviet Army, began to work in his student years. He worked as a doctor. Since 1989 he was a nurse in the surgical department of the Lviv regional clinic, two years later he was a nurse in the neurosurgical department in the same hospital. He also became a medical intern. Young Oleg did an excellent job with his duties and was very efficient.

Tyagnibok's statements

The first experience in the political field, he received while studying at the first higher educationinstitution, heading the Lviv Student Brotherhood. The organization was dubbed extremely radical, as it fought for its beliefs with all available, but legal methods. The plans of the young party was to join the SNPU (Social-Nationalist Party of Ukraine). The SNPU was headed by the Lviv medical elite and the "Afghans".

Associates

In the early 90s, the "brotherhood" wanted to unite with other right-wing organizations that were close to them in spirit and political convictions, but little was achieved. In 2001, in support of the example of Viktor Yushchenko, the Ukrainian Pravitsa was created, which was formed with the help of the SNPU. Three years later, in 2004, Svoboda was formed, headed by Oleg Tyagnibok, which supported the same Yushchenko, but already as a presidential candidate. After Viktor Yushchenko became president of Ukraine, party affairs rapidly went up.

But, despite all the attempts of the party to get into parliament, they were not immediately successful, and in the elections in 2006 the party received an insufficient number of votes. A year later, the party "Freedom" Tyagnibok was promoted to the post of mayor of Kyiv. But this attempt was also unsuccessful, since Oleg Yaroslavovich managed to gain only two percent of the vote. But it is worth recalling that there was still progress in the confidence of voters, since at the first attempt to get into parliament the party won only 91,340 votes, and a year later - already 352,261 votes, which brought 8th place against the previous 18th.

And now, in the parliamentary elections in 2010, the Svoboda party, which was represented byOleg Tyagnibok managed not only to break into parliament, but to consolidate himself there and become one of the main political forces in the country.

In the same year, Viktor Yanukovych was elected president. And against his political views, VO "Svoboda" formed a coalition together with several other political forces of the country.

Tyagnibok Maidan

Maidan – Ukraine – Tyahnybok

This topic is separate and quite exciting, as the events literally turned Ukraine upside down. This time has already received its name "winter of change". And this is no accident. The coup d'état allowed some representatives of the authorities to leave others out of work. And he made it clear to the entire Ukrainian people who is who.

Sufficiently high moral value of the democracy of the Ukrainian people has become noticeable to those around. Because, if it were not there, the inhabitants of the new state would not be able to free themselves from the fetters of the "Party of Regions". The former government stole over $80 billion during their entire time in office. For these funds, it was possible to repay Russia's debt for gas and still buy it for decades.

Tyagnibok took an active part in the life of the Maidan from the very moment of its creation. It was he who told the people the whole truth about Ukrainian politics.

After the overthrow of the Yanukovych regime, presidential elections were scheduled in the country. Tyagnibok also put forward his candidacy, as he is sure that he gained the support of the people, helping him in difficult times. At the moment, according to official statistics, for the leader of the VO "Svoboda"only six percent of voters are ready to vote, but everything can still change. Today Svoboda is one of the main parties in Ukraine.

Views

If you analyze the party's election campaign in more detail, you can understand what priorities Oleg Tyagnibok sets for himself, whose main promise was that he would not allow the separatists to split Ukraine. The leader also talks about raising the economy in the country, since after the winter events in the country there is a crisis. In the economy, the presidential candidate proposes to build a competent policy. According to the party's plans, it is necessary to stop the supply of energy carriers from Russia and use Ukraine's transit potential more correctly.

Back in 2010, Svoboda and Oleg Tyagnibok proposed three laws that implied impeachment for the president, that is, the possibility of depriving him of the most important seat in the country if he commits actions that contradict the law and the constitution of Ukraine. The law “On the Opposition” and the law on the “Dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” were also submitted for consideration.

In the national policy, the party's position regarding the interaction between Ukrainians and national minorities is especially clearly expressed, where both the rights and obligations of both parties regarding public life were clearly defined. Tyahnybok proposes to consolidate the Ukrainian language and not allow anyone to add another state language, as this will simply humiliate the Ukrainians and because of this the country's rating will fall against the world background.

Also, the party strives to ensure that the main values in the country arenational symbols and forgotten folk traditions returned. Tyagnibok Oleg Yaroslavovich himself, whose photo can often be found in the Western media today, proposes to return the "nationality" column to the citizen's passport. He believes: “You should be proud of your nationality, especially if you have a country like Ukraine.”

Tyagnibok emphasizes that he is not a nationalist and Russophobe, as many call him. He is also against federalization, which, in his opinion, will disrupt the political system in Ukraine and soon simply destroy it. From the statements of the politician, one can understand that the separatist ideas that are sometimes voiced in the Verkhovna Rada are anti-people, and they simply should not be taken seriously, as their heralds want to aggravate the unhe althy situation in Ukraine.

Tyagnibok about the Russian language

On the Internet, you can find videos in which Tyahnybok says that the Russian language should be banned and that Russians should not be granted the status of a citizen of Ukraine. However, with a more thorough viewing, you can hear only the words of the commentator, and not the statements of Tyagnibok.

One of the Russian channels announces its intention to prosecute Russian-speaking people living in Ukraine. However, no evidence of such threats is offered. Therefore, such a statement with full confidence can be called a provocation of interested forces.

What phrases did Tyagnibok's speech actually contain:

  • "there will be no oppression of representativesother nationalities, including linguistic sense";
  • "there must be a law that will guard the interests of national minorities";
  • "let's not dramatize" - this probably refers to representatives of the Russian media.

Financial situation

According to the politician himself, his monthly income is 15,000 hryvnia - as the salary of the leader of the All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda party.

The source of funding for the party is a monthly fee of 3 hryvnia each of its members. The party is also funded by the Economic Council, whose offices operate in many areas.

Tyagnibok Oleg Yaroslavovich drives a Toyota jeep. Such a car, according to his own statement, is needed for a more comfortable ride on Ukrainian roads, the quality of which leaves much to be desired. Oleg Yaroslavovich calls it a home on wheels and is very pleased with his car, which he uses as a representative of the VO "Svoboda", that is, it does not belong to him.

According to registration, O. Tyagnibok lives in an apartment near Kyiv, where back in 1998 he received registration as a member of the party. But now he lives in Lviv, in an apartment that is located in the city center and has an area of more than one hundred square meters. The apartment is the property of the grandmother. According to Oleg Yaroslavovich himself, he gave the apartment to his grandmother, and saved half his life for it.
