Once another intelligent family came to visit, equally well-read and educated. During the gatherings, as usual, they began to talk about topical issues, in particular, about illegal migrants, calling them guest workers in the German manner. But they were called not only that, but also a more familiar Russian word. In the midst of a dispute, the master's daughter, a very small girl, suddenly announced that she knew who a chock was. It turns out to be her own mother. “But I’m a daughter, so she is a chock!” she explained with childish spontaneity.

The problem of xenophobia, racism and nationalism exists not only in Russia. Very funny show their attitude to the "Muscovites", for example, Ukrainian nationalists. They angrily denounce their Russian “members of the same party” that they, they say, suffer from intolerance towards all non-Russians, as if if you show it to all non-Ukrainians, then something changes dramatically. The essence of nationalism lies precisely in the assertion that the indigenous, or titular, population has some special rights.

Khachi, chocks, apricots, chumps - as soon as they do not name representatives of Asian and Caucasian peoples! Blacks, by the way, for some reasonso don't tease. A certain image of a swarthy, cheeky loafer is drawn, answering all questions with an accent: “But because!” In fairness, it should be noted that such an opinion about visiting southerners has a certain basis, and it did not arise in modern Russia, but was formed over several decades.

Representatives of all nationalities of the vast motherland were called to the Soviet Army. Some of them found out who a chock was only after they began to understand at least a little Russian, that is, not immediately. A typical example: the sergeant asks the soldiers in turn who they are. All bravely answer: “Defender of the motherland!”, And only ordinary Kerimov says that he is a “Uzbek”. After that, colleagues are invited to explain to Kerimov who he is. And so several times. After some kind of suggestion in an extremely accessible form, Kerimov happily informs the commander that he is a chock!

In general, any representative of an Asian or Transcaucasian republic who has a poor command of Russian and has not received (through no fault of his own!) a normal education can fall under this definition in our country. This insulting nickname is too often given to people who work conscientiously for low wages in jobs that happy passport holders with registration in Russian cities do not want to take on.

Children of migrants go to school with other children who, by adopting the lumpen habits of some low-culture older comrades, quickly learn what a chock is.

Otherthe problem is that there are a lot of visitors, and the migration legislation is imperfect. This problem is also faced by European countries, which at one time opened their borders to citizens of African and Asian states in the hope that they would eventually become Germans, Italians or French. Immigrants do not want to assimilate; on the contrary, they often try to create an environment around them that is familiar to them. There are problems and conflicts that always accompany cultural contradictions.

Sometimes there are clashes, both in Russia and in other countries, and not always those who behaved, to put it mildly, wrongly suffer from them. It is the defenseless hard workers who are easiest to explain who a chock is, inflicting punches, kicks and various hard objects along the way. But with bandits who really violate the law, armed and united, it is difficult and unsafe to talk like that.

Unfortunately, despite the traditionally internationalist upbringing, some of our fellow citizens, irritated by poor pronunciation and the large number of visitors, express their emotions with the indignant question: "What to do with chocks?", Finding a simple answer in Sharikov's way. Of course, expel everyone, and close the borders! And this is still soft, it can be done differently, more radically. It just won't work. Russia still needs migrant workers. And in order for the indigenous people to live in our country, you just need to give birth to more children. And raise them to be true citizens.
