Biography and Nationality

Alisher Usmanov was born in Uzbekistan, in the provincial town of Chust. He spent his entire childhood in Tashkent, where his father was a state prosecutor. Planning to continue his career as a diplomat, he later moved to Moscow, where he entered MGIMO with a degree in International Law. As a result, Alisher graduated from the university in 1976.
