The definition of "dissolute" is understood as a character trait or personality trait, in particular, this word means a certain lack of restraint in behavior, the concept of discipline, immorality and depravity, a tendency to act according to one's whim, regardless of morality.
Use of term
In everyday speech, the term is used in combination with "sexual promiscuity", but the meaning of the word is much broader and can mean gluttony, alcoholism, lack of proper education or moral principles, a sense of shame and other unseemly acts. Most often, "promiscuity" refers to mindless sexual intercourse and bad habits.
Sexual promiscuity
Under "sexual promiscuity" means the absence, inability or unwillingness to control one's sexual needs, expressed in the willingness to mindlessly engage in sexual intercourse, not guided by moral issues. Both male and female promiscuity is manifested in frequent changes of sexual partner, infidelity and relationships with strangers, often in alcohol.or drug intoxication.
Earlier, half a century ago, it was shameful to have sexual relations before marriage, but now couples often live together before marriage, or even do not marry at all, but have sexual intercourse almost from the first date.
Amid this sad situation, child promiscuity is also on the rise: adolescents begin to have sexual relations at an early age, and abortions of girls at 14-16 years old are not so rare.
Alcoholism is promiscuity
Many doctors claim that alcoholism is a serious disease and it requires treatment, like other diseases. But the population has its own opinion on this matter, they call alcoholism moral debauchery.
Both sides are partly right, because alcoholism can cause delirium tremens, epilepsy, and death. So it's still a disease? Yes, but what pushes a person, no matter how he himself and his licentiousness? After all, the first glass is raised absolutely voluntarily. Therefore, drinking is a manifestation of licentiousness, inability to control oneself, after which the consequences will not be long in coming. If a person, having sipped alcohol, cannot stop, this is promiscuity and inability to drink.
"If you can't drink, don't drink!". What does "be able" mean? Stop at the moment when a slight intoxication sets in, weak, such that after which you will not be tormented by a hangover in the morning.
All theseexamples are examples of human promiscuity, a negative personality trait, but which, with a strong desire, can be easily overcome, becoming a he althy, well-mannered member of society.
