History
Few people do not know what the Academy of National Economy is, because in 1977, when the Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR was founded, the people immediately called it the “forge of ministers”. And the popularity of this educational institution among students and students from among the top management of the country made it the most prestigious university in the Union. Since the late 1980s, new faculties of business education have been opened at the Academy of National Economy, which were not heard of in other educational institutions at that time. In 1995, by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation, the institution was given the status of a leading educational and scientific center for the retraining of civil servants. Four years laterthe academy initiated the start of a state experiment on the implementation of MBA programs (Master of Business Administration). In 2010, the Academy of National Economy and the Academy of Civil Service merged, as a result of which the Federal State Higher Educational Institution "Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President" was formed.
