Genesis Rodriguez is an American actress of Latin origin. She began her career in the 2000s on the Spanish-language American television channel Telemundo. Her first real role was in the television series The Captive. In it, she played Libertad Salvaterra Santos.

Genesis Rodriguez was born in Miami, Florida on July 29, 1987. Her mother is Cuban fashion model Carolina Perez, and her father is an actor and singer from Venezuela, José "El Puma" Rodriguez. The actress is on good terms with her parents, and they often watch movies with Genesis Rodriguez.
