He has long established himself as a competent, creative and talented journalist. The main thing in his profession is the ability to win the attention of the audience. And Philip Bakhtin has this quality, not without reason that he headed the Esquare media magazine for a long time, which had and still has a huge army of readers.

But Philip Bakhtin's interests are not limited solely to his professional activities. He is known as the initiator of important social projects. The journalist is the creator of a brand called "Land of Children", which in theory was a network of institutions for spending leisure time for boys and girls. Kindergartens were supposed to appear in several Russian regions. Unfortunately, after some time the project was closed for objective reasons. One way or another, but many are grateful to the editor-in-chief of Esquire for his good undertakings.

An ordinary guy from Vologda

So, the hero of our article is Philip Bakhtin. Biographical information about this creative media representative will certainly be of interest to many. He was born in Vologda in 1976. Initially, the young man did not even think of connecting his life with journalism. Having received a certificate of maturity, he went to Pskov to enter the history department of the Pedagogical Institute. S. Kirova.

Successfully passed the exams, he became a student of the above university. The young man did not show any particular zeal for the study of historical science. Much interesting for him was the student KVN, which he attended with pleasure. One way or another, but having received a diploma, Philip Bakhtin suddenly realized that he had probably rushed to choose a profession. He wanted self-realization, but within the framework of the regional city, he could not do this.

Then the young man decides to go to the metropolitan metropolis, which provided great opportunities for unlocking the potential and realizing ambitions for everyone without exception.

But upon arrival in Moscow, Philip Bakhtin did not immediately understand what he wanted to do on a professional basis. The young man did not have any clearly expressed interests, except that he simply liked to communicate with "good" people. He decides to become a student at VGIK (directing department) and take a look around. No sooner said than done. And after a while, one magazine falls into Philip's field of vision.

Afisha

We are talking about a printed publication called "Afisha". All the entertainment news was covered on its pages.

Filip Bakhtin, after reading the material presented in the magazine, was completely delighted with the Afisha. The young man suddenly terribly wanted to work in this periodical, which came out twice a month. At one fine moment, he plucked up courage, called the editor-in-chief of Afisha and asked him to write down his candidacy for the staff of the magazine. What was the surprise of the young man when the voice on the phone invited him to come for an interview.

Notable is the fact that Filipp Bakhtin successfully passed it and became an employee of Afisha. The young man had to leave his studies at VGIK. Soon, Philip was trusted to write articles for almost all the headings of the magazine, with the possible exception of opera and ballet. The self-taught journalist began to cover sports news in Afisha and gradually rose to the position of assistant director. But at some point, Bakhtin's fuse ended, and he became bored with working in the magazine's team. The leadership of Afisha began to notice this, so the graduate of the history department was forced to write a letter of resignation.

FHM

However, already in 2003, journalist Philip Bakhtin received a job offer. The vacancy of the editor-in-chief of the FHM magazine at Independent Media goes to him. However, the theme of this periodical was specific: not quite adequate humor and half-naked girls. All in all, FHM is a teen magazine.

The position of the head of this periodical brought Philip a fairly good income, but this work did not give satisfaction. After some time, the ex-journalist of Afisha finally realized that the FHM magazine was absolutely not his level. Soon he began to discuss with one of the bosses of Independent Media the options for his participation in other projects. At first it was about Arena magazine, but then it was decided to change it to Esquare.

Esquire

Mikhail von Schlippe (one of the leaders of Independent Media) agreed to submit Bakhtin's candidacy for approval as editor-in-chief of Esquire, and ultimately he received it. This publication, designed for thinking and choosy representatives of the stronger sex, and not for fans of sensational gossip, Philip directed until 2011. The first (Russian version) of the magazine appeared in 2005.

Social projects

In the last years of Esquare's leadership, the circle of interests of a history graduate began to shift. Bakhtin Philip Evgenievich was seriously interested in social projects. He wanted to create a whole arsenal of kindergartens in order to qualitatively improve the leisure time of underage boys and girls. First, on an equal basis with Sergei Remer, the journalist built a kindergarten "Kamchatka" in the Pskov region. And this project really worked. Many fathers and mothers sent their children to this camp and were grateful to its creator for such a project. And Philip Evgenievich personally takes part in organizing children's leisure, refusing the servicesprofessional counselors. Instead, he called on creative people: journalists, actors, musicians, screenwriters.

They just instill in children an interest in great art through staging musicals, performances, cartoons. And the guys are directly involved in this creative process: they are delighted with such a pastime.

Failed project

But the activist could not complete the construction of the kindergarten "Country of Children" in the Yaroslavl region. This social project was even supported by regional officials. Completion of construction was scheduled for summer 2015. The office in Moscow, located on the Patriarch's Ponds, successfully functioned. The institution "Country of Children" in terms of capacity was supposed to oust the eminent "Artek". But the project came to naught overnight. The reason turned out to be banal: investor Leonid Khanukaev refused to invest in the project.

Philip Bakhtin ("Land of Children") was forced to realize his plans in another geographical point. He started building a children's camp on the Estonian island of Saarema. The journalist broke off business contacts with his partner Sergei Remer, who became a full-fledged owner in Komchatka. Will the project "Country of Children" be revived, and will there be more social projects from Bakhtin? Time will tell.
