Defending farmers' rights

For example, in 2016 she helped the Krasnodar branch of the ONF stand up for local farmers. They complained about violations in the sphere of land turnover. Kostenko noted that in such a situation, the problem of import substitution will never be solved. After all, farmers have to spend too much time and effort to defend their truth in government offices and courtrooms. And they could spend it on cultivating the land and harvesting. The Krasnodar branch of the ONF then came out with demands to immediately restore order in the field of land use.

The result of this action was an official appeal addressed to the head of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin, which contained a request to pay close attention to the massive complaints of farmers about harassment.

Therefore, she registered as a participant in the preliminary voting of the United Russia political party. The purpose of the primaries was to select candidates for the State Duma from the Krasnodar Territory.

As she herself admitted, participation in this project was an interesting and rewarding experience. Especially considering the fact that she decided to go to the State Duma. This allowed the candidates to compete among themselves and determine which of them would be the strongest. It is also an opportunity to get a positive experience, draw fresh ideas that can help not only in the upcoming election campaign, but also in future work.

Elections to the State Duma

During the preliminary voting, Kostenko took second place with a little less than 39% of the vote. The victory in the primaries was won by the current chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Vladimir Beketov, for whom more than 70% of voters voted.

Despite this, she took part in the voting, as a result of which Natalya Kostenko became a deputy of the State Duma. She passed to the federal parliament from her native region. Now Natalia Kostenko is a people's deputy who seeks to solve the problems of a particular region.
