The most eerie abandoned place in Moscow is still considered the hadron collider "Accelerator", located in the urban district of Protvino. They began to build this structure back in the 80s of the last century, but already in the 90s they mothballed it. This is a whole ring tunnel, with a total length of 21 kilometers. The tunnel runs at a depth of 60 meters. Until the moment itconservation there even managed to partially bring equipment. To this day, emergency lighting works in the tunnel, air is pumped. Even recently, the Kurchatov Institute has expressed a desire to continue construction and research, but so far nothing is known. There are about 20 abandoned buildings in Moscow, where it was once planned to show movies, in almost every residential area. They were all built at about the same time from the 60s to the 70s of the last century. Until 2011, there were still attempts to revive them, but it is already clear that the city government is not up to cinemas. Some buildings have been demolished to be replaced by modern shopping malls, and some remain abandoned:

• Vanguard near Domodedovskaya station;
• Volga, near the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station, completely abandoned after the closing of the nightclub;
• Leningrad near Sokol metro station is under threat of demolition.

Subway stations

In the village of Glukhovo there is also a beautiful building - the Tikhvin Church. It was built in 1778 and even restored in 1864, but in Soviet times the bell tower was destroyed, used for other purposes, and now it is completely abandoned.

In the village of Shumanovo, the ruins of the once majestic church building, the temple of Dmitry Thessalonica (1805), have also been preserved. Like most buildings of this purpose, the temple was badly damaged in Soviet times and wascompletely looted.

In fact, such a program allows the city to preserve the architectural objects of the city, and for people to find a place to live and engage in small business.

It cannot be said that many took advantage of this offer of the authorities, but some families have established a good business. For example, in 2013, the Stepanov family rented a two-story dilapidated building in Khlebny Lane and made repairs there. Now the family with 4 children lives on the 2nd floor, and on the first floor they opened the children's educational center "Live House". For children from nearby areas, there is a place with circles and sections, educational courses are held here and a creative workshop operates. An anti-cafe is open for parents. So you can not only take a photo session on the ruins or just look for artifacts, but also do a useful thing: dobusiness and reanimate the beloved abandoned building of the capital.
