During his school years, Sergio became friends with a guy named Chris Edwards, who was also fond of music. After graduating from high school and going to college, young people put together a group that they called "Syracuse". Chris took the place of the bassist in it. In addition to them, two more guys joined the team - Thomas Meighan and Christopher Karloff. When the last of them read one book dedicated to the Charles Manson gang, he suggested that the group be renamed Kasabian. It was the name of one of the heroines of the story - Linda Kokasabian, who, according to the plot of the book, played the role of a gang driver. The proposal was supported by the guys, and the new group began its work. She soon became popular.

In 2004 "Kasabian" released their self- titled debut album. The second one followed after two years of intensive work and was called Empire. Three years later, in 2009, the third album of the team with an intricate title that should not be translated into Russian was released: West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. This album, by the way, was nominated for the Mercury Prize music award, but did not win it. But the record's opening track Fire took first place in the chart and stayed at this position for two weeks. As a result, this single was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. In 2010- In 2011, the group finished work on the next albumVelociraptor! The latest to date, the fifth album, was released in 2014 under a very concise title 14:13.
