Konstantin Yesenin is the son of Sergei Yesenin, a Soviet sports journalist, statistician and football specialist. He is the author of several literary works. He made a significant contribution to the popularization of football in the Soviet Union and Russia. A civil engineer by education.

Biography

Konstantin Sergeyevich Yesenin was born presumably on February 3, 1920 in the city of Moscow. According to other sources - April 20. The exact date of his birth is unknown.

Konstantin Sergeevich's parents were actress Zinaida Reich and the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin.

The godfather of the child was the writer Alexander Bely. The boy also had an older sister named Tatyana. The girl was two years older than Kostya.

The father practically did not raise his son, since the family broke up when the child was in infancy. Dad Konstantin Yesenin considered his stepfather - director Vsevolod Meyerhold. The children were surrounded by an atmosphere of love and care. They loved their father. The man adopted the children and gave them his last name.

The boy periodically had short meetings with his own father, but without showing warmth. Tatyana and Konstantin Yesenin (pictured below with Zinaida Reich) were not alike. The girl inherited the light curls of her famous father, and the boy looked like his mother. For this reason, the poet treated his daughter with more love. Seeing his son for the first time, he dismissively stated that the Yesenins were never dark-haired.

Zinaida and Vsevolod often traveled abroad and from there they brought football prospectuses to the boy. Soon the child became seriously interested in this sport. Konstantin graduated from Moscow School No. 86 on Krasnaya Presnya.

Youth

In the second half of the thirties, misfortunes came to the family. The hunt for the world-famous director Meyerhold began. Friends warned him more than once to be careful. They advised him to stay in Europe. But the man returned to Russia for the sake of his wife, who at that time did not have the right to leave the country.

It all started with the methodical destruction of Meyerhold's career, and ended with his dismissal and the closure of the theater. Kostya's mother was very worried and spoke out angrily in the direction of Stalin. She had nervous attacks at night. Had to tie the woman up with wet towels.

In 1939, Kostya's stepfather was arrested. Mother wrote an emotional letter to Stalin. Soon she was found dead in her own apartment. The only witness - the housekeeper was silent about the details of what happened. Meyerholdshot in 1940.

During the Great Patriotic War, the guy showed his heroism and courage. Konstantin was wounded three times, took part in the fierce battles for Leningrad, was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the medal "For Courage" three times.

In 1944, he was mistaken for a dead man and informed his relatives about it, and a few months later, having recovered from a severe lung injury, Konstantin Yesenin returned home with the rank of junior lieutenant.

Unfortunately, the young man was forced to part with his sister Tatyana. During the war, she was evacuated to Tashkent, where she lived for the next fifty years until her death. Tatyana was engaged in journalism and worked as a literary critic.

Career

After returning from the front, Konstantin Yesenin recovered at the institute and continuedinterrupted training. The scholarship was barely enough to live on. The guy was forced to sell two notebooks of his father's poems to make ends meet. They were acquired by the Main Archive Department of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs.

After graduating from the institute, Konstantin Yesenin received the profession of civil engineer. Starting to work, the young specialist showed himself excellently. Yesenin built residential buildings, cinemas, schools, a complex in Luzhniki. He was noticed and given the opportunity to work in the Ministry. Soon Konstantin Sergeevich Yesenin received the post of the country's chief specialist in construction issues.

The famous surname interfered with the young man in building a career, many advised him to abandon it. Konstantin did not dare to take such a step.

Passion for football

Konstantin Yesenin from childhood was fond of playing football. In 1936, he took part in the youth championship of Moscow and was noted for his great success in sports. Konstantin did not forget his hobby in adulthood. He took part in matches between teams of production teams. In addition, Yesenin kept statistics of football matches that took place in the country.

Journalism

Over time, the hobby has grown into a profession. Yesenin became a successful sportswriter. He took up journalism seriously. Since 1955, he has collaborated with many periodicals. Konstantin Yesenin was accepted into the ranks of the Writers' Union and the All-Union Football Federation, where he later received the post of deputy chairman.

Private life

In 1951, Konstantin Sergeevich began dating Sicily Markovna. They soon got married. There was no wedding celebration. The event was marked by a trip to Raikin's concert. The young family lived in a ten-square-meter room on the first floor.

The future spouses first met in their youth at youth parties. Tatyana Yesenina's husband, Vladimir, introduced them more closely. Constantine attracted the attention of Sicily with his spirituality and inner fire. He invited his girlfriend to the theater, after which he took her home.

Young people began to meet often, Konstantin spoke about the fact that he would like to start a family. Sicily did not want to marry, but her son took the side of Constantine. The boy liked that a man appeared in their lives who took him to football.

The chosen one was a year younger than Konstantin and was a graduate of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute. Sicilia Markovna came to the capital from Vladivostok, where she lived from the moment of her birth until 1932.

By the time they met, the woman was already raising her son, born in 1939, whose father died at the front. She entered into her first marriage at an early age. After graduating from the institute, she worked at a school for five years in her speci alty.

Since 1960, Sicily Markovna was an employee of the Academy of Foreign Trade and gave Russian language lessons to foreigners. By occupation, the woman often went on business trips abroad, where she attended advanced training courses.

Over time inThe couple's relationship was in trouble. The reason was the increased attention of fans towards Konstantin. In addition, Yesenin did not show concern for his wife's son, despite the fact that the boy was very drawn to him.

Sicily Markovna decided to leave for a year in Hungary, so that the situation would calm down a bit. There, the woman's business went well and she stayed abroad for five years. She returned to her homeland already at retirement age, but continued her work.

Wishing to show her grandson the cities of Russia and interesting places on the Volga, Sicily Markovna got a job on the ship "Dzerzhinsky". Her duties included escorting tourists. Being a native of Vladivostok, a woman needed to stay in the open spaces of water. The work carried away, and she remained on the ship for the next seven years.

There were no joint children in this marriage. In 1965, the couple broke up, but officially divorced only in 1980.

Departure

Konstantin Sergeevich Yesenin died on April 26, 1986 at the age of 66. He was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery next to his mother and stepfather.
