The mounds are in the eastpark, near the metro station "Volokolamskaya". Such objects appeared here a very long time ago, many centuries ago. For a long time this place was not very popular. However, in the early 2000s, active improvement of the park began.
Mitino Landscape Park: legends
The area on which this wonderful cozy park is now located, it turns out, was inhabited many centuries ago. To be more precise, people appeared here in the first millennium BC. e. Naturally, nothing has survived from that time, only burial grounds have survived to this day. Of course, then they were much larger, now they are just small mounds. However, despite this, the impression they create is truly unforgettable.
This place is legendary. One of them says that not only warriors, but also a myriad of treasures and riches are buried in ancient burial grounds. Nearby was a peasant community, which decided to use these riches in case of emergency. For a long period of time, archaeologists tried to conduct a series of excavations here, but the local population was categorically against it. And yet, in 1833, they managed to excavate, but everyone was in for a big disappointment: in one of the burial grounds they found the skeleton of a warrior, several clay utensils and other things, but no gold and silver were found there.
History of development of the park
Now it is worth talking about how the development of theseland and the birth of the park. This area became abandoned during the reign of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. The entire territory and mounds are overgrown with impenetrable forest. This went on for a long time, and only at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century did they begin to develop the territory. However, initially it was not supposed to be a park area, it was decided to build a brick factory here. But already in 1933, the territory was used for the construction of a dacha settlement for workers of the Moscow Bakery Trust. About 60 country houses were erected on this site. The settlement did not last long, soon it was resettled for the construction of the Mitino microdistrict.
Before the construction of the area was launched, archaeologists carefully studied this area. During the excavations, a large number of objects were found, many of which had a thousand-year history. After that, the authorities decided to give this place the status of a cultural and historical monument, which is not subject to development, they decided to set up the Mitino landscape park here. Now this landscaped green area pleases the eye of many visitors.
