Birth and family of the future legend

Boris Mikhailov - a hockey player whose biography began in Moscow, was born in 1944. The long-awaited second son appeared in the family of Malkova Maria Lukyanovna and Mikhailov Petr Timofeevich on October 6.

The parents of the future hockey player were completely ordinary people. His father worked as a plumber, and his mother worked at the famous Java tobacco factory. Boris Mikhailov is a hockey player whose family had many children. After his birth, several more children were born.

Alexander, who was born in 1948, became a refrigeration engineer in the future. In 1950, brother Anatoly was born, who worked as a taxi driver all his subsequent life. • Order of the Badge of Honor (1972);
• Order of the "Red Banner of Labor" (1975);
• Order of Lenin (1978);
• "For Services to the Fatherland" IV degree (2004).

Coaching

After winning a silver medal at the 1980 Olympics, Boris Mikhailov, whose photo is presented in this article, decided to end his career as a player. But, having vast experience, knowledge and love for hockey, he quite successfully managed to realize himself in coaching.

In different periods of time he coached SKA in St. Petersburg. In the period from 1998 to 2001, Boris Petrovich was the head coach of CSKA. For two years, starting in 2007, he served as the head coach of Metallurg in Novokuznetsk.

It should be noted that exactlyunder his leadership in 1993, the Russian team managed to win the World Cup and for the first time received their gold medals on it. In 2002, under his leadership, the national team won the title of vice-champion of the planet.

In his interviews, Boris Petrovich talks about the fact that even today he is often made tempting offers to work as a coach. But he refuses because of his age and because his beloved and devoted wife is against such proposals. She wants her husband to finally stay home for a while.

Mikhailov's wife and children

With his wife, Tatyana Egorovna, the legendary hockey player lived for almost 50 years. They met for the first time as children, in a pioneer camp. Tatyana was then only 12 years old, and Boris a little more. She was the first to invite the guy to a white dance, and after that they did not see each other for several years. Boris Mikhailov says that when, after 4 years, quite by accident, he met Tatyana again, he realized that this was not a mere coincidence. He decided to definitely marry this girl.

Tatiana Yegorovna was educated as a nurse, and after marriage gave birth to her husband's two sons: Egor and Andrey. Since the husband was on the road and at the training camp all the time, the mother was fully engaged in raising the children. It is natural that the houses of the legendary father were seen very rarely. Based on the circumstances, Tatyana also ran the entire household.

After the children grew up, for a long time the hockey player's wife lived on her own at a family dacha near Moscow, in the village of Povarovo. As for the sons, it seemsthe genes laid down by the father showed themselves. Both of them, having matured, also tied their fate to hockey.

The first son, Andrey, was born in 1967, and the second, Yegor, in 1978. Initially, the eldest was sent to the figure skating section, and the youngest went swimming. But the guys made an independent decision to continue the path of their father. Andrei played on the ice for some time, but then he realized that he could not become a legendary forward, and took up quite a successful coaching career, taking the post of head coach of CSKA-2. At the same time, being a player in the youth CSKA, he received the title of champion of the USSR.

Younger son Yegor also achieved some success in hockey. At one time he played for CSKA, Metallurg, SKA and Dynamo. Egor took part in the All-Star Game and won a well-deserved victory in the European Champions Cup.

The habits and character of a hockey legend

Despite people's love and recognition, all relatives say that Boris Mikhailov remained a modest person. General recognition still bothers him, and there are times when he feels uncomfortable. His wife Tatyana tells that her husband terribly dislikes going to the markets, where ordinary people still recognize him and strive to give some gift to the living legend.

Boris Petrovich now devotes all his free time to his sons and grandchildren, trying to visit them as soon as possible. One of the youngest grandchildren also continued the family tradition and at the age of 7 he started playing hockey with joy and interest.

In his spare time, Mikhailov doesdriving. He managed to buy himself a Nissan Patron and enjoys driving this car. Tatyana Yegorovna proudly keeps all her husband's awards, some of which were donated by the family to the CSKA Museum of Glory. Also, the couple really hopes that over time this collection will be replenished with awards from their sons.

Mikhailov follows all the news in the world of hockey. He tries not to miss any important game. Also, if possible, he tries to personally attend all CSKA games. This man in the world of hockey enjoys undeniable authority, and in numerous interviews he is asked to comment on the results of the games.

At her dacha in Povarovo, wife Tatiana enjoys growing many flowers and even managed to build an amazing greenhouse there. She, like many years ago, does everything for the convenience and comfort of her legendary and still beloved husband.
