News feeds and the media regularly provide information about what is currently the situation in Syria. This topic has been one of the hottest topics for several years now. Why are events in a distant country important? How can they affect the life of Russia and its citizens? Why is the whole world following the stubborn struggle of Bashar al-Assad? Let's figure it out.
How the knot was tied
Syria was once a prosperous country. Since 1971, it was led by Hafez al-Assad, who received a Sunni education. The policy of his government was aimed at the prosperity of the citizens.
The support of his people was almost unprecedented. Over ninety-six percent of the electorate voted for this man in the election. One of the mistakes of Khavez al-Assad is the new constitution of the state. It was written in it that the president of the country does not have to be a Muslim. The radicals did not just harshly criticize this provision. With weapons in their hands, they tried to change the power in the country. Although at that time the situation in Syria was specialdid not raise any concerns. Representatives of various religions peacefully coexisted in the country. Radical Muslims were rather marginalized than a serious social force. However, this small movement suddenly found "curators".
And then it turned out that in Syria "there is not enough democracy"
Destabilizing a we althy country with a tight-knit population, and even loyal allies, is not easy. The situation in Syria began to deteriorate after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Islamic extremists, encouraged by overseas curators, began to act more openly and brutally. The aggravation manifested itself most strongly after the fall of Libya and the change of power in Iraq. These Muslim countries lived by their own rules. In general, this is a special world. In order to establish stability in society, in such states it is necessary to find a consensus among many forces. This refers to various ethnic and religious groups, "families", clans, and so on. Together they build relationships in a multifaceted and complex society. But the handlers of Muslim extremists did not care about these subtleties. They had their own goals and objectives. The cities of Syria, as well as the gradlans of the country, have become hostages of a “foreign game.”
The true causes of the conflict
There is a lot of talk about what is happening in Syria. But all the information comes down mainly to describing the hostilities and listing the settlements that have passed from government control to the militants, and vice versa. The horrors of war sometimes hide from the viewer and listener the true causes of the conflict. In fact, a prosperous situation in Syria was not needed by those who consider all the planet's oil reserves to be their property. Overseas bigwigs have long cherished a plan to connect Arabian deposits and European consumers of raw materials by pipeline. Syria, which is the center of the Arab world, stands in their way. They need chaos in this territory so that no one can interfere with the implementation of their ideas. For this, the so-called ISIS was created and put into action.
Incomprehensible war
The world media quite one-sidedly present what is happening in Syria. Their task is to inspire the viewer with disgust for the country's leader Bashar al-Assad. They describe the suffering of the population without mentioning the true culprits. However, the facts are stubborn. Through any barriers, they break through to the information spaces. The Syrian army keeps the situation in the country under control. Yes, it is true that extremist militants are constantly gaining victories, capturing this or that settlement. However, they cannot hold the territory for a long time. The Syrian army knocks them out of the cities, drives them around the country. Neither American instructors nor modern tanks help. Syria supports the president. Almost the entire population is fighting against the militants.
The political situation in Syria
This question, as in any other country in the Middle East, is the most difficult. The situation in Syria is complicated by the fact that adherents of various religions live on its territory. Sunnis, including President Bashar al-Assad,support his policies unconditionally. But the Kurds, who have long been striving to create their own state, are prone to separatist sentiments and actions. Moreover, their views are encouraged from abroad. In fact, at the moment, Syria is surrounded by enemies. Turkey supports the Kurds. There is no strong government in Iraq. Israel is afraid of militants, trying to push the problem away from its borders. The surrounding states, with the approval of Washington, conduct military operations in Syria from time to time. Assad has to keep almost all-round defense.
Militant tactics
To overthrow the current Syrian regime, the curators tried to create their own "opposition" state. They followed this tactic in Libya. But Assad, with the support of the army and the population, turned out to be too tough for them. The militants cannot hold any significant territory that would allow them to announce to the whole world about the creation of an opposition government. Assad's troops are fighting desperately, forcing the extremists to retreat. The only thing the latter managed to become famous for is animal cruelty. It is clear that they do not add love to themselves on the part of the people in this way. The tactics of their combat operations also cause bewilderment among the military. They raid villages without preparation or any purpose. They rob, kill and roll back to the "lair". It seems that their goal is to keep the population in fear so that they have neither the strength nor the desire to build a peaceful life. The whole of Syria has been in such conditions for several years now. Militants often fly in from abroad, then, nothaving withstood a retaliatory strike, they are removed back home.
Syria and Israel
Who leads the militants is not a secret. Their puppeteers are located in the USA. When the extremists lose their "morale", a command follows from Washington in the direction of one of the allies. So, Israel launched airstrikes on Syrian territory. Officially, this was explained by the fact that Syria allegedly helps the Hezbollah group. However, Bashar al-Assad assessed these actions correctly. He said that Israel, at the suggestion of the United States, tried to cheer up the militants who had lost their enthusiasm. Syria, according to its president, is ready to wage war against this enemy. The country's armed forces were immediately concentrated on the border with Israel. Through diplomatic channels, Assad was supported by Iran, which was a serious help in the confrontation with Israel.
Syria and Turkey
Erdogan's position in this conflict is considered by many to be a stalemate. On the one hand, he considers Assad almost a personal enemy. Erdogan supports the Kurds living on his territory in the war for the liberation of those tribesmen who are outside the Syrian borders. On the other hand, he is well aware that by entering into a confrontation with the armed forces, he will turn Russia, which supports Assad, against Turkey. And in the current situation, it is unprofitable for Erdogan to quarrel with Putin. It remains for Turkey to limit itself to militant rhetoric and secret support for the opposition. So, Erdogan said that Assad uses chemical weapons, and also organizes terrorist attacks in Turkish cities. But things have not yet gone beyond rhetoric.
Prospects for the development of the situation
As they say, there is no military solution to the conflict. Unless Western curators stop supporting the "opposition". Then the conflict will end on its own. Currently, Moscow is trying to bring Assad and opposition leaders to the negotiating table. It is clear that the curators are opposed to this. The situation in Syria and Iraq remains very tense. The delivery of S-300 systems can turn the tide of events. There is talk about this from time to time. But it doesn't get to the point. Moscow believes that it is necessary to try all peaceful methods before adding kerosene to the fire.
The fight against militants is also taking place at the UN sites. Thus, this organization recognized the fact that militants used chemical weapons in Syria. The government troops, who had been accused of this for a long time, turned out to be nothing to do with it. It was the first small victory over the extremist US. Now it is necessary to prove to the "international community" that the militants are guilty of the suffering of the civilian population. In particular, they blockade the cities of Nubbol and Alzahraa, forbidding food supplies to them. Children in these settlements are dying of starvation. And Western media expose the tyrant, B. Assad, to blame. Gradually, the information blockade breaks through. The atrocities of Western fosterlings are becoming public knowledge. And reports from the places of hostilities so far do not cause any particular alarm. They increasingly contain information about the victories of the Syrian army. Now, as they say, the ball is on the side of the USA. If Washington decides to send in ground troops, then the crisisescalate. Until it came to this. Ideas are expressed and discussed on the sidelines of the Pentagon. Obama is not ready to take decisive action against Bashar al-Assad.
Finally, it is appropriate to recall that the seer Vanga spoke about Syria in the last century. She considered this country the main obstacle to unleashing the Third World War. Vanga answered the corresponding question with a cryptic phrase: “Syria has not yet fallen!” Its meaning is only now reaching ordinary people. Bashar al-Assad and his army do not allow hawks to plunge humanity into an abyss of grief and suffering, the scale of which is disproportionately greater than those that exist now. We wish them success and endurance!
