There are also 10,000 rare engravings depicting mourning and funerals. In addition, you can see 9,000 pictures on the theme of burial and death, over 11,000 beautiful postcards.

The museum is also famous for its unique collection of medal art dedicated to unforgettable battles and victories. This can only be seen here. The museum is distinguished by a level of visualization, which is not often seen in our country, but for America and European countries this is already commonplace. Some aspects of the funeral culture are expressed with the help of narrative dioramas-installations. The identification procedure in the dissecting room, the production of mourning attire, placing an order in a special office, the parents saying goodbye to the dead baby - such scenes are played out by mannequins that are very similar to people. They stand in carefully recreated interiors. The mannequins are dressed in 19th century outfits. Visitors are delighted with them.

Sergey Yakushin, the man who founded both the Novosibirsk crematorium and the museum, can be proud of the success of his projects. There are also plots here that may seem quite unusual to a modern person. For example, a photo studio where post mortem photography is carried out. In the process, the corpse is given a position characteristic of a living person. After that, he is photographed with his relatives. This amazing style of photography, which originated in Victorian England, subsequently spread to some European countries and along the east coast of America. He remained relevant until the 1920s, and then sunk into oblivion, leaving behind a legacy in the form of many outstanding photographs.
