Novosibirsk crematorium opened in 2003. This is a truly unique project, there has never been anything like it in the city before. People of different religions and nationalities come here. The crematorium takes into account the interests of adherents of all religions: the building consists of several niches. In each of them, rituals characteristic of representatives of certain nationalities are carried out. Occasionally, rather eccentric people come to the crematorium, for whom an exotic service is provided - sending the ashes of the dead into space.
Service prices
The founders of the crematorium tried to anticipate the needs and feelings of future visitors. They did everything necessary to make people who came to see their loved ones on their last journey feel as comfortable as possible. The Novosibirsk crematorium, whose prices are quite reasonable, is attracting more and more visitors.
However, this is not surprising. After all, cremation here costs only 6,680 rubles. By the way, right after it, relatives can pick up the urn with the ashes. The cost of the farewell ceremony is 900 rubles. Photography will cost more. For heryou have to pay 1400 rubles. The crematorium provides clients with a mourning room for farewell. An hour of stay in it will cost 1950 rubles.
Decoration of the crematorium
The crematorium is designed in a classic style. The architects did not immediately begin the construction of the building. First, they studied in detail samples of more than 60 crematoria located in different states. The founders believe that it is the classics that are best suited for such a mournful place.
The architectural component of the building contains a certain meaning that many visitors catch. The most important element of the entire ensemble is the statue of an angel, located on the dome of the crematorium. It reaches two meters in length. This figure was made in Italy, it was ordered specially. The Novosibirsk crematorium, whose photos are amazing, is the most interesting sight of the city. Many tourists flock here.
The crematorium has a buffet, and there are also two halls for the commemoration of the dead. The care for the disabled is impressive: the building has ramps, as well as handrails.
Park
There is a park near the crematorium. It is enough just to leave the building, and you immediately get there. The park is spread over about 6 hectares. In the middle is a stele that looks like a tree. There are doves on its branches, and this is no coincidence: they symbolize cremation.
Residents of houses located nearby like to walk in the park, which isvery cozy. It turns out that the Novosibirsk crematorium, whose website can be easily found by anyone (cremation-nsk.ru), is also notable for the green spaces surrounding it.
Opening of the Museum of Funeral Culture, exhibits
On May 14, 2012, a significant event took place. A rather unusual museum dedicated to funerary culture began to function in Novosibirsk. Here you can see exhibits dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, and this is no accident, because this time period was characterized by the maximum development of the funerary culture. She was characterized by both humanism and aesthetics. Curious tourists believe that it is not enough to visit only the Novosibirsk Crematorium; the museum also deserves attention. And they are certainly right.
What can you see in the museum?
The museum contains several thousand very interesting items. These include over 200 mourning dresses of the 19th century, all kinds of hearses, about 1000 magnificent paintings and figurines, old and relatively new. There are also 10,000 rare engravings depicting mourning and funerals. In addition, you can see 9,000 pictures on the theme of burial and death, over 11,000 beautiful postcards.
The museum is also famous for its unique collection of medal art dedicated to unforgettable battles and victories. This can only be seen here. Visitors can also admire the collection of medals made for the days of memory of parents. Many of them believe that Novosibirskthe crematorium just pales in comparison to the museum, which is much more interesting. And to be convinced of this, you need to visit both of these places.
Mannequins, photos
The museum is distinguished by a level of visualization, which is not often seen in our country, but for America and European countries this is already commonplace. Some aspects of the funeral culture are expressed with the help of narrative dioramas-installations. The identification procedure in the dissecting room, the production of mourning attire, placing an order in a special office, the parents saying goodbye to the dead baby - such scenes are played out by mannequins that are very similar to people. They stand in carefully recreated interiors. The mannequins are dressed in 19th century outfits. Visitors are delighted with them.
Sergey Yakushin, the man who founded both the Novosibirsk crematorium and the museum, can be proud of the success of his projects. There are also plots here that may seem quite unusual to a modern person. For example, a photo studio where post mortem photography is carried out. In the process, the corpse is given a position characteristic of a living person. After that, he is photographed with his relatives. This amazing style of photography, which originated in Victorian England, subsequently spread to some European countries and along the east coast of America. He remained relevant until the 1920s, and then sunk into oblivion, leaving behind a legacy in the form of many outstanding photographs. The most beautiful and famous of these photographs can be seen in the museum. Novosibirsk is luckythat they can admire such exhibits. However, the museum also plans to hold visiting exhibitions in different cities of our country and abroad. It should be noted that this is not a bad idea at all. The Novosibirsk Crematorium and the Museum of Funeral Culture have become famous throughout the country, and interest in them is only growing every year.
