James Haven was born on May 11, 1973 in Los Angeles. The boy's father, Jon Voight, is also an actor. He is best known for his roles in Mission: Impossible and Midnight Cowboy. Mother, Marcheline Bertrand, is also a film actress, but she did not achieve much success - at the age of 56, the woman died. From childhood, the future actor grew up in a creative atmosphere. In addition to parents who connected their lives with the screen, he has a younger sister, Angelina Jolie, whose name is known to many.

James's father is of German and Slovak descent, while his mother's ancestors are of French Canadian, German and Dutch ancestry. After their parents divorced, James Haven and Angelina Jolie stayed with their mother and moved to Orangetown, New York.
