It is not surprising that in Russia each region is significantly different from the others. Here, climate diversity, population density, and living conditions in general can vary. That is why the financial situation of citizens who live in different parts of our vast Motherland is so different. As you know, in our country over the past few years there has been a certain stratification of the incomes of workers, both by region of the country and by industry. But where are the highest salaries in Russia?
Average income in Russia
It's no secret that our country is considered one of the largest in the world. The territory of Russia is huge, hence such a significant difference in the incomes of citizens. The highest salaries in Russia, oddly enough, are not recorded in the capital at all, as one might assume. In fact, it is not the central regions that earn more today, but those settlements that are strategically important for our country. For example, those districts that directlyare associated with the production or export of oil and have a significant reserve of hydrocarbon resources in general. According to the results of 2014, the average income of citizens amounted to about 28 thousand rubles, while experts emphasized that such a sharp decline occurred in the country for the first time in 15 years. Indeed, over the past few years in a row, the real income of citizens has been constantly increasing.
Income difference by industry
Before you find out what is the highest salary in Russia, it is worth noting that the income of citizens differs, not only living in different parts of our country, but it all depends on the area in which the person directly works. For example, financiers, who on average earn about 55 thousand rubles, today earn much more than the same seamstresses, whose salary is only about 10-11 thousand rubles a month. It should be noted that the most profitable industries in our country are considered to be the oil industry and transport. But the lowest incomes are awarded to such areas as leather and footwear production, wood processing and agriculture. It is also important to note that the cost of living in each region will also differ significantly, so you should not assume that those regions in which the highest wages are fixed will live much better than other citizens of Russia. In general, if we talk about the highest salaries in Russia by profession, then preference can be given to the financial sector and the oil business.
Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug
If you study the highest salaries in Russia by city, then, of course, the capital will come first. Moscow, as usual, earns the most, but this is only if we talk about the highest incomes in the cities of our country, because here this figure was about 45 thousand rubles. But if we consider the regions as a whole, then the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is in the first place today, in which Russian citizens receive an average of about 58 thousand rubles. However, this is not at all surprising, because it is here that most of the oil and gas in our country is produced. It is worth noting that not only oil workers in this region can boast of high salaries, for example, the average teacher in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug receives about 60 thousand rubles a month. Despite the fact that the autonomous region consists of only 7 cities and six districts, the population is quite satisfied with their standard of living and prosperity.
Chukotka AO
The second place in the list of regions where the highest average salary in Russia is recorded is rightfully taken by the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. To date, the average level of earnings here fluctuates at around 57,000 rubles per month. However, for those who know what the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is mainly engaged in, this is not news at all, because the main industry here is mining. The main products that the region produces are precious metals. For example, gold, which is mined in huge volumes by enterprises located here. From here, such products come to the treasury of our country, like mercury, tin, lignite and tungsten. However, those who are engaged in the production of building materials and the fishing industry also earn good money. And, of course, it is here that the basis of our energy is located, this is evidenced by the huge number of thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants and nuclear power plants located in this territory.
Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug
Another Autonomous Okrug, which also has the highest salaries in Russia, is the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. In this region, the average salary is about 56 thousand rubles per month. First of all, I would like to note that it is in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug that about 60% of all oil in our state is produced. The largest and most famous oil companies of our country work here: LUKOIL, Transneft and TNK. It is these organizations that provide the population living here with stable and, most importantly, highly paid work. Experts note that natural gas reserves stored in this region can only be compared with those in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. However, you can work here in other areas, which, in principle, compared to other regions of our country, are paid quite high.
Nenets Autonomous Okrug
Despite the fact that it is quite cold in this region of our country, the people here work very hard. Apparently, this is why the Nenets Autonomous Okrug was ranked fourth in the list of regions with the highest salaries in Russia. Average incomefor a working citizen living here is about 55 thousand rubles. At the same time, the minimum basket of food products costs approximately 4-5 thousand rubles. In general, it is rather difficult to say that life is simple in the Nenets Okrug, rather the opposite. The main area of activity here is forestry, food and fish industry. And most importantly, what brings high incomes to the region is the Vasilkovo-Naryan-Mar gas pipeline and seaports, through which it is possible to successfully sell most of the district's products.
Magadan region
And again, the region in which the main activity is considered to be the mining industry. The Magadan region, of course, is included in the list of those regions where the highest salaries in Russia. The average resident of Magadan receives about 54,500 rubles a month, but given the remoteness of the region, as well as the fact that the cost of food and other goods necessary for everyday life is much higher here than in other regions of Russia, everything is complicated. That is why the inhabitants of this region have a very difficult time. The main activities here are gold mining and the fishing industry. However, many residents of Magadan are engaged in reindeer herding. The region differs from other cities of our country by unstable climatic conditions and rich taiga forests. The average cost of a grocery basket is about 5.2 thousand rubles.
Tyumen region
About 48 thousand rubles are currently received by residentsTyumen region, which brings our state about 2/3 of all oil produced in the country. It is not surprising that the highest salaries in Russia went to this particular region, because it is here that the population is engaged in a wide variety of areas in production. In addition to oil and gas production, residents of Tyumen produce about 1/3 of batteries and automotive lead batteries in our country. The woodworking industry is also well developed, and a record amount of building materials is produced. The population of the region actively works at the largest factories, which are located on the territory of Tyumen, and are also engaged in agriculture. And, of course, Tyumen receives huge income from highly developed pipeline transport.
Moscow Region
In which regions of Russia the highest salaries, it was possible to find out quite simply. It is not surprising that the list is completed by the Moscow region, which is rightfully considered the most profitable in our country, but cannot even get into the top three. What is the highest salary in Russia? As noted above, if we talk about the cities of our country, then this is Moscow, and here the working class receives an average of about 45 thousand per month. However, in the Moscow region there are also fairly high incomes among citizens. But if before that, in the list of leading regions, residents earned money with the help of the oil, mining or woodworking industries, then in Moscow everything is much simpler. The capital of Russia isa place where people make money through work in the financial sector, marketing, trade or the latest technology. However, as always, Moscow is distinguished by its character, so not everyone here will be able to quickly succeed, because 45 thousand rubles is just the average salary in the country, and many earn millions here.
