Actor Dean Norris played Hank Schrader, a cop, drug agent in Breaking Bad.
His hero is the brother-in-law of the brilliant chemist W alter and Skyler White - a real professional who, despite having a wife, is still "married" at work. With maniacal perseverance and pleasure, he brings drug dealers to clean water, spitting on all the dangers, and no one is an authority for him. Hank has an amazing intuition, and this character trait has saved his life more than once.
The actor and his revelations
Dean confesses that he has two stable associations with Russia - "Dostoevsky" and "vodka". Not bad! He believes that the Russian police are no different from their American counterparts - the same "bald", "pot-bellied" and assertive - shares the screen Hank. Interesting, what would Schrader say to that?
One thing is for sure: Like his character Hank Schrader, actor Dean Norris loves everything to do with guns and fighting injustice. The actor considers the project "The Americans" very cool. He is generally ready to participate in any show that is in any way connected with the Cold War. Also from the series he prefers "House of Cards", "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones".
Dean's favorite book is David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest.
Norris dreams of visiting Russia, and in the series where he was lucky enough to star, he considers the most difficult final episode with his participation - where his hero is killed. At the same time, the star confesses that it was difficult not only from an acting point of view, but also from a personal one.
Why did they kill a real honest cop?
Possessed Cop
Hank meets when he hunts Jesse Pinkman under the name of Cap'n Cook - a petty, elusive criminal. Once Hank took W alter with him to the case, who, being a chemist, understood how easy it was to make money. From that moment on, Hank had more work to do, as he had to deal with the hardened mythical Heiserberg himself - a unique drug maker-brewer.
And yes, Heiserberg was part-time none other than humble chemistry teacher W alter White. Fate sometimes throws up not such relatives.
The case turned out to be very difficult, and Hank had to work hard. This Heiserberg managed to get away with it - no one had ever seen him in person, and the drug, as luck would have it, suddenly disappeared from the whole city, and they began to sell it outside of it. Who helped Heiserberg? Hank lost his peace and sleep, even refused a promotion, just to unravel this difficult case.
The car failed
Here is an event due to which Schrader went out of action: he was hunted by his enemies - the drug lords of the south, whose brother Hank destroyed. But the criminals failed to kill the cop, and they simply disabled him for a short time, causing a serious injury. As a result, Hank was completely immobilized, and it took a truly titanic effort to get him to walk again.
Cops like this should be everywhere.
If he hadn't succeeded, most likely he would have gone crazy from the inability to move and act. Introverted, Hank felt his DEA career was at an end and retreated into himself, starting to build a collection of minerals. His wife Marie came to the rescue, who made him train and stretch his muscles. True, Marie took a risk, as it cost nothing to spoil relations with the wayward Hank, forcing him to do what he did not like. Nevertheless, thanks to these studies, Schrader got back on his feet.
Spouse
In Breaking Bad, Hank Schrader is married to Marie Schrader, who is Skyler White's sister. Marie is good to everyone, but suffers from kleptomania. Hankknows about it and tries not to focus on this addiction, especially since it does not appear so often. Marie is very grateful to him for understanding and does not swear, hearing her husband's rude jokes, and his endless delays in the service. For all his dedication to work, Hank Schrader remains a caring husband, and his family, which includes both the Schraders and the Whites, is important to him. Even frequent visits to the prison in order to rescue W alt or Marie do not cause reproaches from the policeman.
Hank was portrayed as a cute viewer. He is the same as all of us, and minor, but very pleasant, little things, like Schrader's affection for beer, and homemade, make love for the hero even stronger. But the director decided to take the risk…
Who killed Hank Schrader
It happened in the fifth season in the 14th episode. It was in the middle of the season that Hank finally had an epiphany - he compares the facts and concludes that W alt and Heisenberg are the same person. But how to prove it and blame the relative? He hit it off with W alt's ex-partner Jesse Pinkman, this guy had a grudge against W alt…
However, fate decreed otherwise. Neo-Nazis arrived at the place of the planned detention of W alt with a leader named Jack, and with him came the death of Hank Schrader. W alter White - a famous relative - makes Hank beg for his life. He, reproaching W alter for lack of foresight, made him understand that he would not do anything like that. Schrader sighs for the last time and, gathering his will into a fist, informs Jack that he can do what he has planned. He shoots.
It is believed that the series is already popular in itself, but thanks to the last episode of the fifth season, it has collected about 10.3 million Americans. The audience was very upset, if not horrified, from the fact that they would no longer see their favorite police officer, for whom the capture of criminals was more important than his own life. The director probably wanted to show that justice is longer than life.
