Early years

Katarzyna Figure was born on March 22, 1962 in a simple Warsaw family. Her father was a veterinarian and her mother an economist. Katarzyna had no brothers and sisters.

Since the girl's parents were constantly busy with work, she often had to have fun alone: at home she dressed up and reincarnated in different images - from this Katarzyna's love for acting was born. At the age of 10, the girl began to attend a school drama club, and at 11 she performed a small children's role in the film "Lost Dog". At the age of 15, the girl starred in the film "Mouse" - both roles were tiny, the name of the Figure was notindicated in the credits, however, after filming, Katarzyna firmly decided to connect her life with cinema.

The real debut of the actress took place in 1983, in the second year of study at the Warsaw Theater Academy. She played the role of Laura Radzewicz in the film Destiny and was noticed by prominent Polish directors.

Katarzyna performed her first leading role in 1986, in the sci-fi film "Ha, ha. Glory to the Heroes" by Pyotr Shulkin. This was followed by the main roles in the films "The Ring and the Rose" by Jerzy Gruz (1986) and "Train to Hollywood" by Radoslav Pivovarsky (1987), after which the actress was proclaimed by the whole country as the Ola Marilyn Monroe - for her ability to combine sexuality and innocence in her images. International success also came to Figure in 1987, when the 25-year-old actress appeared in a film by prominent Polish director Juliusz Michulski. It was a grotesquely satirical picture of "Kingsize", and the young star played the female lead.

The success of Michulski's film at international festivals opened the doors for Figure to Europe: in 1988 she starred in the Czechoslovak film "Don't Be Afraid", and in 1990 - in the French "Embassy in Madness". At the same time, the actress received a musical education at the Paris Conservatory of Drama.art. A new milestone in international creativity was the role in the Italian film "Tornado" and in the Franco-British "Voices in the Garden", filmed in 1992. After that, Katarzyna firmly decided that it was time to conquer Hollywood.

Under the pseudonym "Kasya Figure" the actress made her debut in the 1992 American film "The Gambler" by Robert Altman. The figure played a minor role, her partners on the set were such stars as Whoopi Goldberg, Tim Robbins and Sydney Pollack.

The next American film in the filmography of Katarzyna Figury was the famous film "High Fashion" in 1994, again directed by Robert Altman. The role was small, but the Figure had the opportunity to work with stars of the first magnitude, including Marcello Mastroianni, Sophia Loren, Lauren Bacall, Julia Roberts, Cher and many others.

Kasya Figura performed her main role in Hollywood in 1996, in the film "Fast and Young" by Tim Everitt. Unfortunately, the film went unnoticed. The actress decided to return to her homeland. Although not recognized, Katarzyna did learn something in Hollywood, and in Poland one after another she began to receive awards and nominations for her film works, for example, for her role in the film "Ilavu" (1999).

In 2002, Figure was lucky to play a small role as the protagonist's neighbor in the film "The Pianist" by the famous countryman Roman Polanski. The painting was the lastthe work of the actress outside of Poland, where she is actively filming to this day. For example, in 2019, the film "Diablo" with her participation has already been released, and the filming of the film "One, Once Again" is underway, the premiere of which is scheduled in Warsaw at the end of 2019.

Even at the beginning of the 2000s, for one of the roles, the Figure shaved her head, thereby ending the period of sexual images and currently choosing exclusively multifaceted and dramatic roles for herself.

In 2000, the Polish actor Kai Skinhols became Katarzyna's husband, the couple are together to this day. In 2002, a girl was born in this marriage, who was named Coco-Claire,writing under the double surname Figure-Skinhols. At that time, the couple lived in New York. In 2005, already in the homeland of her father and mother - in Poland - the second daughter of Katarzyna and Kaya was born, who was christened Kashmir-Amber, and also recorded under a double surname.
