State power is a concept familiar to a citizen of any country. We come across this term both while studying at a secondary school or institute, and in ordinary life, when it is necessary to resolve a particular problem. How did the basic principles that became the basis for managing such a community as the state arose?
Today there are more than 250 countries. Some of them have more than one millennium of history, others have already appeared in the modern world. Today it is impossible to talk about which state can be called the most ancient, since no exact historical documents have been preserved. As for the main conditions of their internal structure, each has its own way of developing power and the principles of its operation. This is what will be discussed below.
Of course, one of the key concepts in considering this issue is such an aspect as signs of state power. What are they? Traditionally, in social science and jurisprudence, it is customary to single out several key features. As follows from the provisions of administrative law, state power is a separate structure thatis intended for the social management of a given territory (country).
Carried out through various public institutions and methods. Among them are norms and laws, beliefs or forceful influence on society. As the dominant criterion by which state power is determined, this is the predominance of one will over another. The carrier of such a dominant can be either one person or a collection of influential people.
State power in the form in which we are accustomed to understand it, most clearly manifested itself in ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. It was from the history of these countries that we became aware of how, at the dawn of history, the discussion of issues related to social arrangement proceeded, which guided the representatives of the ruling strata. Roman law is still considered one of the most harmonious and competent systems of political management of the country's internal life.
As for Russia, the state power in our country has undergone a series of metamorphoses. Starting its history as an extremely fragmented, patrimonial feudal principality, each of which was guided by its own rules, Russia turned into one of the strongest countries on the world map. Today, the political structure of the Russian Federation is based on several basic principles. State power is a trinity of legislative, executive and judicial bodies. At the same time, the concept itself can be interpreted in two senses:
-
Power can be regarded as a public institution that reflects and regulates the main aspects of the domestic and foreign political life of the country. In other words, the right and opportunity to create laws or other administrative acts, as well as exercise control over their implementation. This is the legal meaning.
- The political significance of the ruling sphere is reflected in the following: state power is a public administration, as such, the competence and composition of its representatives - this will be the meaning of political science.
