Immoral lifestyle: on the verge and beyond

The moral norms of any culture consist of the observance of ethical principles and the permissibility of deviations from them. In addition, you can lead an immoral lifestyle without even denying the generally accepted unwritten laws, but simply not fitting into them with the course of your thoughts and life principles. So, many brilliant writers and artists with their own vision of creativity remain misunderstood outcasts all their lives. However, immorality can be malicious, provocative and dangerous to others.

Principles of immorality and violation of moral behavior

The concept of morality cannot be the same for all peoples, therefore, getting from one country to another, crossing continents, you involuntarily change not only the geographical location, but also the conditional framework of acceptable behavior. But this is in a global sense. Narrower concepts of moral norms are contained in micro-societies in which a person constantly rotates. Each of us has such "framework" perimetersat least two are home and work (study).

Personal perception of morality gives rise to the environment of the current time period in a person. It is impossible to consider as a standard of correct behavior in modern Russia what made a person highly cultured in the 17th century in France. This is as wrong as transferring our idea of female modesty to the current Muslim society, where even the reading of certain books by a woman is perceived as an immoral lifestyle.

This speaks primarily of the mass nature of the concept of morality. It is pointless to resist him, since society immediately calculates the dissenters in its ranks and isolates him. In this case, a prison, a neuropsychiatric hospital, public control of supervisory authorities, etc. serve as a measure of isolation. In the most favorable case, a person is simply deleted from the social ranks through moral alienation.

Immorality as a concept of illegality

There is no doubt that an immoral lifestyle would be less rare if the measures taken against standard cases of misconduct were tightened at least to the point of public censure, which is far from always the case. Often, seemingly harmless hooliganism grows into grandiose forms of extortion, violence, theft (robbery) only thanks to the connivance of a “prosperous” society.

The absence of a criminal offense in most immoral acts allows citizens mired in an immoral labyrinth to feel relativelyprotected. Community service, fines and other types of administrative punishment rarely bring the expected result and only push the erring individual deeper into bitterness against cultural behavioral norms.

Immoral behavior in the family

The most severe form of immoral lifestyle, of course, refers to violations within the family. Both parents automatically fall under the stamp of “ill-being”, since the inability to resist the tyranny of the moral deformity of one of the spouses also represents a lack of moral principles. If a father drinks and allows himself to threaten the life and he alth of family members, and other adults tolerate it, then their moral principles also seem doubtful.

Especially painful is the situation when minors suffer from the immoral lifestyle of their parents. In exceptional cases and with the vigilance of outsiders (teachers, kindergarten teachers, neighbors), the state pays attention to individual families and establishes supervision over such risk groups. Even more rarely, children are removed from families, but this happens only after convincing evidence that the child's life under the supervision of the family may threaten his life and morals.

The destruction of the child's normal social adaptation lies not only in a direct threat to his physical he alth - the indirect side, affecting his personal concepts of norms, is no less important. This is the so-called "pressure" of parents, directed at each other - constant scandals, showdowns, sometimes - open, demonstratedpublicly bonding father and mother on the side.

Moral decline of children in asocial families

The first emotional attack received from a child in the event of his constant, even involuntary participation in family conflicts or observation of the immoral lifestyle of parents from the outside is fear, misunderstanding, unconscious distrust of what is happening. This and the next stage are skipped if a similar environment has surrounded the baby from birth. Then along with despair comes the desire to restore understanding between the parents.

The next stage is already hopelessness, which (as a result of the child's character) can be followed by: aggression, hatred or detachment, downtroddenness. At this stage, younger children develop autism, developmental delay occurs, and behavior changes for the worse. Older children leave the family, make attempts to commit suicide. Almost always, this happens “pretend” - as a chance to give parents another opportunity to change their minds, but often such desperate decisions end in tears.

The language of dry statistics

Based on the scientific research of T. N. Kurbatova (St. Petersburg), V. K. Andrienko (Moscow), A. S. Belkin (Yekaterinburg) and other authors studying violations of the educational process in families, we conclude that there are common characteristics that unite troubled families.

At risk for a child's distorted perception of moral values,fall families:

• comprising one parent and child;
• with low educational level of both parents;
• where the immoral lifestyle of mother or father is a constant factor;
• with a complete lack of patriotism, with contempt for social norms of behavior;
• where at least one of the parents is addicted to alcohol, was in the MLS, etc.

These statistics are generalized and by no means unambiguous.
