Yuri Albertovich Rozanov was born on June 12, 1961. Since childhood, sports have sunk into his soul and he tried himself in various sections. Played football, hockey, basketball and table tennis. And if team sports were difficult, then in tennis Yuri Albertovich achieved great success. Many coaches predicted his fate as a master of sports, but he also had to give up tennis.

Yuri Rozanov's biography turned out so that after graduating from school he showed an excellent game in basketball, but due to heart problems, he had to give up this hobby and look for himself in another business. In his student years, he was expelled from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and was forced to look for work in various research centers.

As far as his sports activities are concerned, before joining television, he was an ardent fan of CSKA Moscow and even supported the team in away games for several years, of which he had more than a hundred on his account. The last time he supported the team at the stadium was the Ararat-CSKA match. In addition to the "soldiers", YuriRozanov likes the Dutch national team and the Montreal Cadiens overseas hockey team.

TV career

Sports journalist Yuri Rozanov began his career on the NTV-Plus TV channel, where he managed to get through a competition of commentators in 1996. Together with his friend, Vladislav Baturin, the well-known TV presenter Yevgeny Mayorov took his team of commentators. Rozanov's debut as a commentator came on November 2, 1996, when he was reporting from a hockey match between Moscow Dynamo and Kazan AK Bars. For some time, Rozanov was not trusted with anything but hockey.

A few months later, Yuri Rozanov was nevertheless put on a football match, and his debut in this sport turned out to be the Dutch championship. Those who followed European championships back in the early 2000s should remember Rozanov's voice not only in the Netherlands, but also in Russian, English and Spanish championships. In addition to the domestic championships, he commentated on the UEFA Champions League finals several times.

Since 2002, sports commentator Yuri Rozanov has been trusted with international matches. Most of the games of the famous World Championship 2002 and the European Championship 2008 were also commented by Yuri Albertovich. For several years in a row, he was appointed as a jury member for a commentator competition, where he, along with colleagues from NTV-Plus, chose talented guys to work on the TV channel. In addition to the work of the commentator, Rozanov was the hostfamous program "Football Club" and for quite a long time served as head of the editorial board of "NTV-Plus".

Starting from 2002, Yuri Albertovich Rozanov tried himself as the host of "Sports News" on the state channel "TVS". Rozanov was offered a permanent job in this position, but he refused, having managed to comment on only one match, where in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, Lokomotiv Moscow hosted an Austrian club called GAK.

In early 2010, Dmitry Mednikov, who at that time was the chief editor of the Rossiya-2 television channel, offered Rozanov and his colleague, Vasily Utkin, to work in one of the well-known VGRTK media holdings, but after conferring, both commentators refused. A year later, Yuri Albertovich receives his first award after the World Youth Ice Hockey Championship in the Best Commentator category.

Ukrainian stage

During the 2012 European Championship in Ukraine and Poland, Rozanov and Utkin were invited to the well-known Ukrainian TV channel "Football" as commentators. After the end of the tournament, the hero of the article began to combine work on Russian and Ukrainian television. Rozanov worked on all channels that were part of the general pool of sports television in Ukraine.

Due to the beginning of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, Rozanov leaves the country. Thanks to all my colleaguesfor active cooperation, he said the following words:

Ukraine is a beautiful country and I have never had it as good as here. Because of the political conflict, I cannot help but worry about the country that has become my home in these few years. I have always been against politics, and my conscience does not allow me to stay here. I am very glad that God gave me the opportunity to spend this wonderful time with good people and do what I love. But in order to continue my journey, I must be closer to my family. That's the main reason I left.

Radio work

Until about 2009, Yuri Rozanov worked on sports radio in the Eurofootball and Our Everything programs. Since 2006, he has been periodically broadcasting a program called "Passion for Football" on the well-known radio "Mayak". Also in the life of Rozanov there was a stage when he, together with Yevgeny Lovchev, hosted the radio program "Field Kitchen" on the notorious radio channel "Vesti FM".

Voice acting

Yuri Rozanov also dubbed sports documentaries. One of the most successful projects was the film "Legends of the World Championships", where he read the voiceover.

Together with Alexander Loginov and Vasiliev Solovyov, he was a commentator in the EA Sports FIFA football simulator versions 2013-2015.

Other projects

In 2004, after successfully climbing the career ladder, Yuri Rozanov decided to thank CSKA fans and opened the first Internet conference on the sitefans, where he answered all sorts of questions. Also, together with colleagues, he was a regular contributor to the well-known magazine "Sports Day After Day".

Career Now

Since the spring of 2014, Yuri Rozanov again tries himself on the VGTRK TV channel and his first serious work on this channel is the World Cup, in which the Russian team participated. But before that, he was also entrusted with an international tournament, which was held in Minsk as part of the Ice Hockey World Championship. In the autumn of the same year, he was appointed as a commentator at the home matches of St. Petersburg Zenit on the St. Petersburg channel of the same name. After the end of the season, it was announced that Rozanov was returning to the NTV-Plus channel. In addition to working on this state channel, he also commented on matches on KHL TV.

At the moment, Yuri Rozanov is a commentator on football and hockey matches on the most famous Russian sports TV channel - Match TV.
