The United States of America (USA) is located on the North American continent, south of Canada and north of Mexico. The country is economically developed, politically stable, has been living under one constitution for 200 years. The status of the USA as a superpower is indisputable, the standard of living of the population is high. The question arises, what are the components of the current well-being of America? What mechanisms were involved for such effective development? After all, strictly speaking, the United States is not a monolithic country, one might even say fragmented. But at the same time, the state system is debugged and works like a clock. The financial power of America makes the white envy of all the presidents of the world. The US government can afford an unprecedented military doctrine in terms of financial investments. The NASA space agency never asks for money, it gets it in abundance. The social sphere of the country is developing at a rapid pace, and therefore there is growth in industry - since people are provided with attention and support, they work with redoubled energy, for the benefit of the whole country.
So it turns out that the fragmentation of a superpower called the United States, only apparent, but in fact a countrycohesive and indivisible. The entire territory of America is divided into 50 parts, completely autonomous and independent of each other. There has long been a debate about how many states there are in America. Some believe that exactly fifty, others do not agree with this. But none of the states can secede and withdraw from the federation, the constitution will not allow it. The president won't allow it, and neither will the government. That's how everything is arranged. Although technically each state has the right to secede. But formally, this does not mean in fact. So it doesn't matter how many states there are in America. When Barack Obama was elected for a second term, many Americans were dissatisfied, a wave of indignation arose. Several states announced their withdrawal from the federation, then several more, and so it came to 29 states that want to secede. So what? Everything remained at the level of emotional wishes. Impossible to get out!
Otherwise it would have turned out, as in the famous song of Vladimir Vysotsky: "… everyone took his own clothes, started chickens and sat in it …". Each state would have seceded, had its own economy, its own currency, issued its own laws. No and no. The state, folded in the manner of a mosaic of fifty states, is extremely solid and indestructible. Even though each US state is also divided into districts, which is also a sign of fragmentation. And yet the question of how many states are in America is not an idle one, and it is currently believed that the United States of America includes fifty states and one federal district of Columbia. The capital of the District of Columbia and the entire country is the city of Washington.
Let's try to remember all the US states, their names and where they are located. Along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean are the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They are followed by the state of New York. To the south are the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. Behind them, along the coast, are the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. All coastal states are focused in their economy on the export-import of goods, since all over the Atlantic coast, port terminals receive hundreds of thousands of tons of various cargoes daily and send the same amount by sea in all directions. Of course, in addition to port activities and transportation inland, in every coastal state there are industrial facilities that produce hundreds of different goods. Florida has a well-developed beach holiday industry, and Miami Beach attracts people from all over the world.
Let's continue listing the US states and eventually it will become clear how many states there are in America. The next row of US states, to the west after the coastal ones, includes the states of Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio, as well as the states of Mississippi, Indiana and Michigan. In all these states, the emphasis is on agriculture, extensive fertile fields, rich pastures allow a good harvest every year. Especially in the Mississippi River valley favorable conditions for farm labor. And in the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota, a record production of meat and dairy products for the whole of America has been established.
The largest state of Texas is famous for its animal husbandry. Huge herds of cows graze in its open spaces. The same can be said about the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South and North Dakota. These states are located north of Texas. Next come the most colorful American states - New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. The states of Arizona, Utah, Idaho do not lag behind them. There is a lot to say about them, but the format of this article does not allow. I would also like to decipher the names of the US states, but that's another time … And finally, the record-breaking states for the unique sights of America - California and Nevada - complete the list, along with the states of Oregon and Washington.
