Peter Prince Derek Vaughan (1915–2003) was a famous British Bible expositor whose daily radio broadcast was broadcast around the world in various languages. Prince preached extensively around the world, he was preoccupied with the problems of faith and deliverance from evil spirits. His teachings and interpretations have not yet lost popularity and continue to win new followers.
Childhood and adolescence
Derek Prince was born in India to a military family of British subjects. As a child, his parents sent him to the UK to be raised by his grandmother. Trained in Greek and Latin at Eton College and the University of Cambridge in England, he was awarded a fellowship in ancient and modern philosophy at King's College. Derek Prince also studied several modern languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic at the University of Cambridge and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
After completing his studies, he moved on to teaching. It should be noted that Princewas a religious person up to a conscious age
The path to faith
While serving in the British Army during World War II, Derek began to study the Bible and learned a new philosophy related to Jesus Christ. From this meeting, Derek Prince drew two conclusions: Jesus Christ is alive, the Bible is a real and up-to-date book. These conclusions changed his entire life path, which after the war he devoted himself entirely to the study and teaching of the Bible. It was during this period that his path begins to interpret the Holy Scriptures for everyone, which he will do for the rest of his life.
Derek's greatest gift is to explain the Bible and teach it in a clear and simple way that has helped build the foundation of faith for millions of people. His non-denominational, non-sectarian approach has made his teachings equally relevant and beneficial to people of all racial and religious backgrounds.
In 1945, Prince married Lydia Christensen, a Danish missionary who was 26 years his senior. He fathered eight of her adopted children - six Jews, one Palestinian and one British - and the couple later adopted another daughter in Kenya.
The family emigrated to the United States in 1963 and Prince became the pastor of a church in Seattle. In the early 1970s, Prince began teaching about the need for Christians to pray for national leaders.
Derek Prince. Deliverance from evil spirits
As a Pentecostal, Prince believed in the reality of spiritual forces operating in the world and in the power of demons to cause illness and psychological problems. ATIn Seattle, he was asked to perform a woman's release and became convinced that Christians could be "demonized." This conflicted with the more familiar Pentecostal view that demons could "possess" unbelievers but could only "oppress" Christians. The prince believed that his liberation ministry used the power of God to defeat the demons.

Prince, who taught on many topics and subjects, including foundational Bible truths, was probably best known for his teachings on demons, deliverance ministry, and Israel. The restoration of Israel became the main theme of his sermons. His books Our Duty to Israel, The Last Word in the Middle East, and The Destiny of Israel and the Church informed Christians of their obligations to Israel and the Jews.
He strongly objected to replacement theology. Derek Prince argues in The Destiny of Israel and the Church that the church has not replaced Israel and that the covenant God made with the Jewish people is still valid today.
