Hockey player biography
Kirill Kabanov was born on the sixteenth of July 1992year in Moscow, Russia. As a child, he became interested in and engaged in hockey, went to the Spartak Moscow sports academy. From an early age, Kirill decided that he would become a professional hockey player, following the example of his brother.
Initially, K. Kabanov attended the Spartak school, then trained at Dynamo and CSKA. At the age of fourteen, the guy was offered the first professional contract by Spartak. Kirill happily agreed to all the conditions, and here, after a while, he began to perform at an adult level.
Beginning of professional career
On the eve of the season of the Continental Hockey League 2008/2009, the Gladiators' head coach Milos Rzhiga began to involve Kabanov in training with the main team. It was then that they started talking about the young guy as one of the most talented and promising hockey players in Russia, predicting a bright sports future for him. At the heart of the first team, Kirill first appeared on the ice on November 18, 2008 in a match against the Amur club from the city of Khabarovsk. In total, in his debut season, Kirill played in six games of the regular season and four Playoffs.
Attempt to build a career in Ufa and move overseas
In the summer transfer period of 2009, on his birthday, Kabanov was bought by the Salavat Yulaev club from Ufa. Later it turned out that the player did not sign any papers, but was already at the disposal of the new club. Despite the technical performance and the general talent of the striker, it was not particularly possible to play here, due to the great competition. Cyril's father represented his son as an agent and negotiated the terms of the contract. Time passed, but there was no game practice and there was not. Under the circumstances, the Kabanovs began to feel uncomfortable and look for a new club, but they were not immediately allowed to do so. As a result, there was a big conflict over the rights of the hockey player, both between Spartak and Salavat Yulaev, and between the player himself and the management. For a long time, K. Kabanov could not leave the club, because he did not have such rights under the contract.
Some time passed, and Kirill's father nevertheless agreed with the IHF (International Hockey Federation) so that he could play in the Major Junior League of Quebec (Canada) as part of the Moncton Wildcats club. As a result, a young and promising hockey player went to conquer the West, and the Ufa club Salavat Yulaev lost a lot of money on the transfer of the ex-Spartak player.

Kirill Kabanov started to play in Moncton. Here he regularly appeared at the base and performed effective actions. In the first season, the Russian scored 10 goals in 22 matches and became the owner of the QMJHL President's Cup.

In the 2010/2011 season, the player moved to the American club Lewiston Manieks. Here, Kirill showed himself perfectly and was one of the leaders in the squad - he played 38 matches and scored 28 points. However, the season ended without trophies.
Roading on rentals
In anticipation of the nextKabanov signed a loan with Blaineville-Brisbrian Armada (Canada), but during the pre-season, the player was lured away by a Swedish club called Ferjestad. With the Swedes, Kirill signed a viewing contract, which does not oblige him to anything. At the same time, exactly the same agreement was signed with the Canadian club Shawinigan Cataractes, in which the Russian stayed for a whole year. Here he won the Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup.
Following years, Kirill Kabanov played for such clubs as Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Stockton Thunder (USA), MODO, Skellefteo (Sweden), Salavat Yulaev and Neftekhimik.
